Pet care experience
Welcome to Woofers Wellbeing 🐾 My genuine care and experience for animals gives owners the reassurance they need in order to leave their fur babies in my safe hands. Nowadays pets are like children, cherished members of the family. Staying in their daily routine is so important as it would be for a human loved one. I like to start off with arranging a care plan with their owners, this can be face to face or via email or phone call, whatever is preferred. This plan encompasses their typical daily routine, feeding schedule and nutritional meals, personality traits ,toileting habits, walking preferences, bathing and sleeping patterns. Depending on the type of care needed. Being able to indicate signs of how your pet is feeling and over time being attuned to your pets emotions allows me to create a safe, joyful and cozy environment for them while you are away. Previous pets I have cared for: * Rabbits and Chinchillas * Hamsters and Guinea pigs * Cats * Fish- including tropical fish, red tail sharks, silver sharks. * Chickens * Geko Lizard * Dog Breeds: Welsh Terrier, French Bulldog, Springer Spaniel, Labrador, Shitzu, Chihuahua cross, Cocker Spaniel, bulldog, boxer dog, Beagle. Services includes: * Creating a care plan tailored to your pet. *House sitting (Owners House): Available- hourly, daily, weekly. *Dog walking :Solo sessions for nervous pups or for an interactive playful session- groups of up to 4. * Drop ins- Feeding or letting out pets for toilet breaks. * Paw Pamper Party: Full body Wash- shampoo & conditioner, Blow dry (towel dry for those doggies who fear a hair dryer), Paw massage with puppy pad oil, nose balm, ear and teeth clean and to finish off some doggie perfume. All for £30. All ingredients used are all dog friendly for sensitive skin. Will need to use owner’s facilities. I may not have professional experience in training dogs however I have successfully trained multiple dogs to follow various commands.
Reviews
I could not recommend Alfie highly enough when it comes to dog sitting and dog walking. Alfie has looked after my miniature dachshund, Ferdinand, on many occasions and has always been incredibly thoughtful and caring. He always remembers Ferdinand's favourite toy to play with, and always makes sure to bring water for him when it's warm and include plenty of breaks in the shade. Ferdinand is quite an anxious dog, but Alfie is always very mindful of this when approaching other dogs and Ferdinand is so comfortable and happy when walking with him, it is clear to see Alfie makes him feel safe and at ease, and Ferdinand always come home happy with his tail wagging. As someone to communicate with, Alfie could not make it easier for me and is always so consistent and organised. I would highly recommend Alfie and Woofers Wellbeing Walks to everyone - it has been by far the best experience I've had with a dog walker (and I've tried many over the years!), and most importantly my dog absolutely adores him and I know he's extremely well cared for when he's with Alfie.
Highly recommend Alfie. I used his services while I was away on holiday. Teddy was amazingly cared for. I was regularly updated with messages and videos. This made me feel much more comfortable with the experience. He treated my home with respect and it is possible it was even cleaner on my return. 10/10 recommend.
Alfie has looked after my dogs many times when I have been on holiday or sick in hospital. There's nobody I would trust more than him. He gives my dogs love and attention, and tailors their care to their needs. They love him!
As an eighty year old, I can no longer do what I once could. Alfie has been a great help, not only dog sitting and walking, but doing odd jobs for me. These include cleaning in the house, car cleaning, shopping, mowing my lawn etc. I trust him and rely on his help, a good friend, plus Butch adores him.

Being away from their parents can be quite daunting, especially if it’s their first time experiencing separation. I care for pets within their own home as I believe they are most at ease in their familiar surroundings and this will make the separation easier for them to cope with.

Dogs should be stimulated mentally and physically. Long scenic walks with different smells to explore is really essential for their well-being, not only is it physically tiring it is also mentally stimulating. 20 minutes of sniffing is equivalent to an hours walk so by combining the two your energetic fury baby will be thoroughly exhausted. If your dog is able to go off the lead then I would also take them to open fields where I could use a ball thrower allowing them to run freely. I like to play “find me” with some of the dogs I sit for. I play this by either making them wait while I go and hide somewhere in the house or I hide treats around the house for them to find. Plenty of tugging toys. Teaching new commands. If your dog is social, a fun visit to a park to socialise. Taking them for a dip if your dog likes water. Relaxing grooming session. Doggie photo shoot for parents while they are away. Finish off the day with some evening snuggles.
