I have personally owned, loved, and cared for my own cats, dogs, and amphibians throughout my life. I currently have four lovely cats and had shared care of my childhood dogs for 11 years until moving out of my parents home. I have extensive experience with boarding, dog walking, and general pet care in both long and short term settings, professionally through rover as well as for friends and family.

Alexys did a wonderful job checking in on my kitty while I was away. She was always punctual and completed all of the tasks that we spoke about. She also took the time to provide me with a lot of information about how things were going, which I so appreciated. I will definitely book her again!

Boarding and drop-in care: I can provide fur brushing, nail trimming, oral care, and other forms of grooming/maintenance (depending on the comfort of you and them). I can provide structured feeding times or free feeding and work around any specific diets. I have experience with obedience training, command enforcement, and medication administration that can be applied if and when you want/need. Information Alexys G. would like to know about your pet
To ensure the comfort of you and your pet, I do have questions prior to the first booking regarding their temperament around strangers, other animals, and food as well as what your expectations are for the booking. Although these situations may not arise in some bookings, knowing ahead of time can provide comfort and safety for me and them. Any allergies, medications, and dietary restrictions also need to be know to assure the best care for your pet. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ I require all cats being boarded to be up to date on all core cat vaccines (FHV-1, FCV, FPV, rabies, and FeLV) and be indoor only. I will not board cats with active symptoms of FIV (sneezing, leaky nose, and diarrhea). When boarding animals, there is a responsibility on me as the care provider to host a healthy, happy, and safe environment for all my clients. These parameters are in place for the safety and health of my own cats as well as the cats of the families I board with. Thank you for your understanding.
A typical day
I think mental and physical stimulation are both crucial in this line of work, so keeping your loved ones entertained and active is a top priority. Playing, exercise, working on commands, as desired grooming, consistent bathroom breaks, and lots of love are just some of the things your pet can expect during a booking with me.

Availability
I am a full-time student who does remote classes. I also do part-time freelance work here on Rover. My availability is very open due to the flexibility of my schedule. This flexibility allows me to work around pet-specific needs for attention, bathroom breaks, food/water, and medication. I can provide time specialized pet care to you furry loved ones to ensure they are happy, healthy, and safe in my care.
