My whole career started with walking my neighbor's Irish Wolfhounds at the age of 11 years old. Since then, I have been enamored with dogs - but especially giant breeds! I started horseback riding competitively in rodeo at a young age; which led to my interest and schooling in Equine Vet Med/Industry/Sports Medicine, and then Livestock Rescue. 🐴🐶🐱At one time; I used to care for upwards of 6 pigs, 20+ chickens and rooster, 10 horses, 2 dogs, and a mini donkey by myself. This included feeding/watering, moving hay, collecting eggs, administering medication, and working with semi-feral animals. Fun Fact: I learned how to administer medication to a goose in 4-H and he became my favorite goose ever. (Love you, George!) 🐕🦺 Currently, I am studying to receive my certification in Canine Behavior. I adore working with and training puppies. This includes getting them used to handling for vet visits and grooming. I am also extremely passionate about enrichment activities! I worked in veterinary medicine and am knowledgeable about medication, how to store, handle, and administer medication. 🐔🐷🐐Aside from cats and dogs I have experience with livestock such as; goats, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks, horses, donkeys and mules. I also have experience with rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters.

🏠 In my home, each dog eats in the kennel they sleep in to prevent any scuffles. I have my dogs perform certain tasks or tricks before they eat. Whether it's having them Wait at a distance or on a Place while I prepare their meal, having them go through a routine of Sit/Down/Center/Dance/Spin before I set a bowl down; it's just a fun and quick training period for them! 🏡 In your home; I prefer not to change their routine unless absolutely necessary. I have experience handling raw foods as well, so long as you provide their recipes I have no issues prepping them!

A typical day
I absolutely love doing Enrichment Activities with pets! I play a lot of brain games, scent games, work on manners and socialization skills. For my fearful and nervous pets, you can expect that I will respect your pet's space and go at their pace. I do not push and will work on their confidence at the pace they set.

Availability
⏰ Tuesday through Friday; I am unavailable 11am - 6pm Saturday; I am unavailable 10am - 3pm 📅 During the week I am available to do Drop-In and Walking after my shift for those who take on nightshifts. I will be available to work majority of my day Sundays and Mondays. Drop-In and Walking can be done early mornings, or evenings the rest of the week. Saturday, my remaining day would be best for starting any Homestays. For any Homestay I would ask that your pet be comfortable alone for at least 7hours a day during the week.
