No Dog too Big or Small!
Pet care experience
I’ve had every animal under the sun since I was kid! From every size dog to rats and lizards, I’ve cared for them all. I’ve been trusted to walk, watch, bathe, and cuddle many friends and family’s pets since I was a teen. I have a senior chihuahua mix that has had unfortunate experiences with larger dogs, which has made me hyper aware of dog body language. I’ve taken it upon myself to research and learn more about the behavior of dogs to keep them happy and safe!

Alexx was great! Good communication, punctual, and most importantly a dog lover! My older gal Ruby knew right away that Alexx was a dog person. As my dog is older, she comes with a few more considerations and the need to stay on a regular medication schedule. Alexx was considerate and wasn't afraid to ask questions. She respected the house and our space while we were away, and sent regular updates and photos, which gave me good peace of mind on my busy getaway. Alexx even left us with a cute Ruby painting!
Great job checking on our boy and making sure he went potty and got loves!
Alexx is great at connecting with all the pets! She is a magnet and they seem to all be drawn to her everywhere she goes!

I’m always sure to understand a pets dietary needs/restrictions and needs. Reward preferences, whether they want play time or a run, to cuddle, ect. are all important things I like to gather before watching a pet. I carry a variety of treats on me, a first aid kid, and slip leads in my car to be prepared for an emergency. I am trained in dog first-aid and CPR.

Food sensitivities, prior injuries, activity level, and any weird quirks/habits (peeing when nervous, barking to be let out, “safe” toys, ect.) are all important things for me to know.
A typical day
Depending on the dogs activity level, we can take a leisurely walk for a sniff-sploration or play fetch at the park! I’m also a runner, so I’m happy to take over-energized dogs on runs as well. At home, we can play fetch, hide and seek with treats, or do some trick training!

Availability
I work primarily from home on my own schedule with 1-2 days where I am away for longer than 6 hours. My schedule is very flexible, letting me go for a walk or check on a pet at most points throughout the day.
