Pet care experience
I have taken care of and walked dogs in my neighborhood since I was younger. Usually just so they can stretch their legs and use the potty while my neighbors were at work. As I got older that turned into dog walking and pet sitting for others outside of my neighborhood. I have worked with puppies and senior dogs, dogs with anxiety, dogs with medical conditions and slightly aggressive dogs (usually to strangers or ducks). I believe that a dogs comfort and happiness is key to a happy dog. My priority is always ensuring a dog is not only comfortable but also healthy and safe.

As a former owner of my own pet sitting business, Alexis proved to be a huge help for me. She was reliable, left house cleaner than when she left it, respectful of my clients property but most of all, animals love her. Both big and small, and including my difficult old blind dog who doesn't like many people! I highly recommend Alexis. She will be a wonderful asset to your team.
I’ve known Alexis for the better part of a decade through work and university. Even early on, I knew them to be one of the most responsible pet owners I’ve ever met. I know schedule is important to pet, I try to maintain the already existing schedule that dogs or cats have to make sure that they understand not only that their human is coming back but that i’m here to support them in their home. The more I can keep up with what they already know the more I can ensure that they know I’m visiting to give them love and not to disrupt their territory. I want to build trust with all pets I work with so we can play and have a good time together.

I think it’s extremely important for me to know any medical conditions and needs that your pet has before hand. I also think it’s important to inform me if your pet has an specific behaviors or aggressions they may have towards me, strangers or other animals to keep both me, your pet and others as safe as possible.
A typical day
I have a lot of energy and have often times found myself wrapped up in whatever game the pet decides is most fun. There are many parks in gainesville that I would recommend walking (or running) through. I also would take the time to learn what activities your cat loves to ensure that they’ll have fun.

Availability
I am a part time employee and have a lot of time during the week to dedicate to ensuring your pets are well cared for and loved on. If that is just making sure they get to pee and poop a few times a day or taking them to the park to run and play for a few hours, I have a lot of extra time.
