Receiving your angel with open arms

Pet care experience

My love for animals started when I was a young girl, I've always had a special connection with any animal. At first I thought it was a normal thing until I started meeting bigger dogs, more "aggressive dogs" and they would always accept me with open arms..they would allow me to come into their world. I've always had a gift with understanding them so that is why I'm able to connect to them no matter what the "issue" may be. Each animal I've encountered became a totally different fur baby. I've met dogs that were shy, timid, scary and with no self esteem to training into a social, confident princess/prince. I am also in school for Psychology but also studying in Animal Communication...animals are my life, I have so much love to give each of them. <3

I have known Alexis for 17 years and have always known her to be one of the most loving and caring people I have ever met and known. Throughout her adult years, she has shown that love by taking it upon herself to not only care for strays out on the street, but has even taken these strays in, given them a home and shown them the true meaning of love. She most recently adopted a beautiful Husky named Lola from a humane society. Upon adopting Lola, she realized she had really bad anxiety and was the one to help Lola overcome that anxiety & show her what love truly meant. When she would take Lola on walks, she would periodically run into other dog owners who didn’t understand why their pets would not listen or respond to them. Alexis would approach the owners and with their permission start talking to the dog, calming them & even get them to listen to her commands. She would offer the owners tips on how to get their pets to listen and teach them how to calm their anxieties. I can testify on her behalf because I too was one of those owners. When Alexis came to visit, my puppy would not listen, didn’t like taking walks on leashes and would periodically pee/poop in her kennel. After Alexis’ visit, my ButterCup now listens to commands, loves walks on the leash (she even allows my two-year-old to walk her), and no longer “marks” her kennel. This is not the only way in which I have seen her work. There were days in which we would sit outside conversating and I would see that she would interact with the stray cats in the neighborhood (they were basically congregating in my drive way awaiting to see her), the way the squirrels would listen to her when she spoke to them, as well as how the birds would sing back to her when she would speak to them. Some would say she is the real-life Snow White; some have asked if she is an animal whisperer, but if you ask me, I’ll tell you that she is the same girl I met 17 years ago, pouring her love out on all of these precious animals that normally wouldn’t get this type of love and affection from just any other human being. I truly hope you consider her for this position, not only will you be proud of your decision, you’ll love all of the positive feedback and rave reviews your clients will give you of her work.

Information Alexis S. would like to know about your pet

Adding to everything above: I want to know your babyboy/girls personality, likes and dislikes with pretty much all, insecurities and only to help give and build confidence with them. I once had a dog I worked with, she was so afraid, barely even able to walk outside without shaking uncontrollably. It began small but the impact was so major, it began with talks between us from the cage (her in and me out) until she felt comfortably coming out, it went from that to her literally becoming my shadow - no training but months later able to have breakfast on the beach with her family at restaurants in FL, where other families and other dogs are and enough training, discipline and confidence to face fear in the face. My hearts desire and my purpose is to help each animal feel that way. That is why I believe certain information is vital to the connection building process and a vital piece of that is getting to know certain information ahead of time. <3

A typical day

When I keep fur babies, they are literally like children with me: we will watch tv together, talk together, walk together, drive to the store together (depending on needs of each baby specifically), everything with me is customized to your angel. Whatever their needs are, those are the first priority then we will go with their flow. That to me is key in beginning, as a certified animal communicator, currently full time student majoring in psychology and just understanding love, our nature and that we are all uniquely made - including animals. Most leave them out but not me. I take the complete honor and in even doing video chat/ in person meet and greets before our time together. That is just because I want them comfortable, you comfortable and all comfortable. I like dog parks in the neighborhoods or dog parks, I like dog parks more because of the space and ability for them to express themselves freely. Even on walks, it is all catered to them: some babies like to pretty much have you jogging with them towards to the end, those babies that may be coming out of a surgery or injury - they would need me to be slow, taking breaks, providing water as needed on the walk from a tool of mine, catering to their every need which will be provided from you.
