Experienced and knowledgeable!

Pet care experience

I have been an animal lover since the day I was born. Growing up, my favorite shows were always Dogs 101 and Cats 101. I have owned and been around dogs my entire life, have had a few cats here and there, and have had just about every small animal you can think of (birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, even a snake!). Additionally, I have two years of professional experience working at canine boarding/training/daycare facilities. I am well trained in dog behavior, nutrition, and mannerisms. Having problems with training? Let me know! I would love to help out! Your dog’s diet not working for them? I can provide plenty of recommendations for a variety of concerns!

Alexis is so sweet. She successfully made my cat feel loved while I was gone. Not only did i feel comfortable when I was away but there was a noticeable difference when I returned home. Thank you Alexis.

Alexis was awesome! My boys can be a handful and she handled them like a pro. She is super responsive and follows instructions well. Will definitely book again

Safety, trust & environment

For pet care in my home — I live in an apartment, but my neighborhood is within walking distance of multiple trails (my dogs favorite!) so walks can go on for as long as your pet would like! There is also an on-site dog park big enough for games of fetch and zoomies! As mentioned, I have a dog of my own who is very friendly, and is very good at making friends with anyone, but if your pooch likes their personal space that’s no problem too! He knows when a dog doesn’t want to socialize and will just ignore them. We go for walks/runs every hour or two when I am home depending on the dogs activity level. Higher or lower energy dogs will receive appropriate accommodations. For pet care in your home — same rules apply for walks! My actions depend on your dogs personality and energy level, if you have a couch potato that prefers cuddling over a game of fetch I am happy to accommodate.

Information Alexis S. would like to know about your pet

Tell me all about your dog! I would like to know special instructions/needs, but I’d also like to know your dogs quirks. What games do they enjoy? Where’s there favorite spot to pet? Are there any nicknames they respond to? How best can I care for your dog and ensure they enjoy their time with me?

A typical day

Caring for dogs is my passion, and I do everything in my power to give them all the exercise and enrichment they need. I have plenty of toys for inside as well as a Chuck-It for outside. As mentioned in my environment section, there is a dog park on site and lots of walking trails in my neighborhood (seriously miles and miles of trails). I don’t believe in a quick potty break outside, unless that’s what your dog is into - it’s cold, I get it. When I take dogs outside it is always to the dog park or on a walk around the trails.
