Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals in both the sitting setting and veterinary setting for the past 6 years! I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant for the past two years and I love caring for my pets and neighbors’ pets! Neighbors and friends have relied to me to walk, feed, and provide attention to their dogs and cats, and I have loved every second of it! I am looking forward to extending my care to pets and families into my community this summer!

Alexis has always had a love for animals and she is truly the most qualified person I know to care for a pet. We have had fish, hamsters, dogs and cats as pets in our home, and Alexis was always there to care for them. In addition to the incredible amount of love in her heart for animals, she also has a significant knowledge of animal health given that her degree work is focused in a pre-vet program at a major university well known for their high caliber degree programs. I cannot think of anyone more qualified to care for a pet than a pre-vet student with 15+ years of caring for her own pets. Alexis is a responsible young adult with a genuine heart; she is trustworthy and dependable; and she is very knowledgeable about how to care for a pet (both academically and personally).

A typical day
I will take your dogs for many walks, as that is something I genuinely enjoy doing with my own dogs! It is preferable that my dogs do not meet the dogs I am sitting for, for safety purposes, but I would be happy to take your dogs to parks or around your neighborhood to release some energy! Indoors I would love to play with toys with your dogs and give them lots of love and attention!

Availability
I currently work full days at a veterinary clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays so I can do drop in visits 3 times per say on these days. I am available from 6am-7am and 1pm-10pm on Wednesdays, and on Thursdays I am available all day. On Saturdays and Sundays, I am typically available all day to care for your pets unless my schedule is marked as unavailable.
