New Grad Living in the Loop

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Alexis, and I just graduated from Loyola with my law degree as well as my Master in Public Policy. I live in then Loop near the intersection of State and Harrison, and do this for a little extra cash since I will be home studying for the bar all summer, and for fun because dogs are the greatest. I am a huge advocate against BSL, and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. Further, I grew up with a formerly abused rescue dog and have volunteered at animal shelters with "troubled" dogs in the past, so I am accepting of a variety of temperaments. But, if your dog is on the aggressive side, I'd definitely like to meet them with you first! If you have any questions for me, feel free to message me! I'd be more than happy to chat by phone or meet you for coffee!

Alexis did a great job taking care of my cats over the holidays. My cats liked her from the moment they met her, even the skittish one. I'd definitely recommend her and if she is available during my next vacation I'd ask her to cat-sit for us again.

Alexis was great. My dogs loved her and I was and am very comfortable leaving them with her. I know they will be well taken care of.

I just want to thank Alexis for taking such excellent care of my English Bulldog Leroy for 10 days!!! She is super sweet and was so great to him!! She went out of her way to make him feel at home and took him on tons of walks and over to the dog park for lots of fun! I would highly recommend Alexis to anyone who is looking for a great pet sitter!! If I could give her more then 5 stars I would and Leroy will definitely be staying with her again when I go on my next trip :- )

Alexis is a WONDERFUL walker. Very courteous, really descriptive in the Rover cards, and very kind and sweet with our puppy. Very flexible and gives notice when her schedule changes.

Information Alexis P. would like to know about your pet

As I live in an apartment, I unfortunately cannot accept dogs that are barkers out of consideration for my neighbors. Occasional barking is OK of course, but if you know your dog barks repeatedly, they are unfortunately not a good fit. Lastly, if your dog chews, please let me know so I can hide cords and shoes appropriately. :)

A typical day

I have a park a block northeast, another one three blocks southwest, and am just two blocks east of Grant Park. So, whether your dog likes long or short walks, they're covered. I am also a short walk from Grant Bark, so with your permission, we can to the dog park as well!
