Pet care experience
My name is Alexis and I am a 24 years old. I personally have owned dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I have also been working for four and a half years at a dog boarding facility in Des Moines and absolutely love it. I have experience with walking dogs, giving baths and nail trims, administering medication (oral and topical), feeding a variety of diets, giving water to dogs, and overseeing doggy daycare. At times I have taken care of up to 30 dogs of all sizes and ages at a time at the boarding facility. I also own three cats named Zippy, Jessa, and Theo. I am willing to handle all sizes of dogs as well as cats. I also have experience working with bunnies, birds, and ferrets however, I am not as well versed with many small animals as I am with dogs and cats.

Alexis worked with our high energy border collie for a year or two. Our pup LOVES her. Highly reccomed her for all pet needs. She truly cares about the animals she works with!

I am a big believer in safety of dogs and like to limit any interactions with outside-of-the-home animals when I am taking care of other pets. I do not let animals come into any contact with other animals that are not pre approved by the owner. My own dogs only interacted with other dogs in a controlled environment at a doggy daycare where all other dogs are vetted and they are closely monitored. I'm also big on cuddling, play fetch, treat puzzles, frozen kongs, etc. that keep dogs minds entertained especially while their owners are away.

A typical day
I would love to do whatever your pet loves to do! Whether that’s sitting around and cuddling, going on a long walk to the park and sniffing all the smells, or playing with their favorite toys in the backyard.

I am currently able to accept clients anytime between 7 am - 10 pm on weekdays as well as late mornings and afternoons on the weekends.
