I quickly became a dog mom when my partner moved into my house with his 5 year old dog Sampson. I fell in love with our daily walks in the field behind our house, as well as having something to take care of in the house. Sampson listens, he is a dog I can walk off leash and the best cuddle buddy. Because of his good nature I soon found myself growing our family by the addition of two puppies. Hank was our first pup - he is a Great pyreenes mixed with a Bernese Mountain Dog. Think fluffy, slobbery, and 140 pounds. I wasn't sure how a big dog and myself would get along but I found his size comforting. Stella was a dog we failed at fostering. She is a smaller terrier mix and is teaching me the true purpose of crates and leashes. I learn every day how to be better for my dogs. It is chaotic, messy and unpredictable living with three dogs but I wouldn't change it for anything. I am by no means a perfect dog owner but I understand the complexities and uniqueness of each dog and their personalities. I rely on being consistent and predictable for my dogs so they continue to trust me to take care of them. Their health and happiness is my priority.
