Pet care experience
I owned a Black Lab-Catahoula mix when I was younger, and have experience with walking, feeding, and caring for both dogs and cats. In my opinion, it is the responsibility of pet owners to care for their furry friends, as they are at the mercy of their owner. Food, water, exercise, and social interaction is extremely important for all animals. I love meeting new animals, as they all have unique personalities! However, I would never group animals together or encourage socialization with other animals unless explicitly asked to do so. I'm strong enough to walk large dogs, and patient enough to help train a puppy. I own two cats and am perfectly happy playing, petting, grooming, and (depending) clipping pets' nails. I'm really love animals and look forward to helping people take care of their pets when they're away from home during the daytime. Please contact me with any questions.

Alexis did a fantastic job pet sitting our 3-year-old border collie. This was our first time being away since adopting him in May. We were concerned because he has epilepsy and needs to get medications at specific times. Alexis stayed at our house and took great care of him, sending us regular updates and photos. My only disappointment is that Alexis is moving away. We would use her regularly if she were staying!
I have 2 cats, my 2 big burly men Kit-Kat and Nyamo, and they're my best friends in the world. I've had them for about 10 years now and I've been taking care of them more or less on my own for that time and I was happy and we were happy and I figured they were cats and they would do they're thing and I'd do mine. When I moved in with Alexis she told me that I hadn't been treating the cats the right way at all! She taught me that I should play with my cats daily because they're animals that want to hunt and they'd be much happier if I did! After just a few days playing with them everyday they were much more responsive to attention, they're always ready and willing to play on a moments notice, and they're very gentle since they know what is the toy and what isn't, and I have Alexis to thank for teaching me all those things about my cats that I thought I already knew how to take care of. They're so much more fit and not fat and lethargic anymore either! Alexis cares about animals, she's taught me things about cats, dogs, hamsters and even plants! Because of her I'm much more interested in the health and well being of our cats and even our new garden.

A typical day
I will go on walks around Silver Spring, from the Summit Hills complex to (potentially) Rock Creek Park. I'll take them to the dog park, pick up litter, and am willing to do most normal things. I have no problem with slobber and barking!
