Your dogs next trusted caretaker :)

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Alexis, and I am truly a dog/animal lover! I have my own rescue who is a 90lb Border Collie and Great Pyrenees mix named Sylas. He holds an irreplaceable spot in my heart ❤️ My affection and adoration for dogs traces back to my childhood, where I grew up with a Golden Retriever who became my best friend. For many years my family and I have been committed to rescuing dogs. Many breeds including Chihuahuas, Rat Terriers, and Pitbulls ended up joining the family. With that being said, I am very comfortable with dogs of all sizes! My professional & personal experience in the realm of dog care is as follows: During my high school years, I dedicated hundreds of hours to volunteering at animal rescue organizations, to name a couple; A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens & Big Dog Ranch, both in West Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to college, I served as a volunteer at New Horizons Service Dog program, working with inmates within correctional facilities to train puppies for service-related duties. My responsibilities included fostering the dogs over weekends, exposing them to everyday scenarios, such as riding in vehicles, navigating stores and malls, and utilizing elevators. By creating a stress-free environment, I ensured that the dogs had the necessary skills to thrive in the outside world upon graduation. The dogs were absolutely amazing, impressive, loving, intelligent and I remain forever grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their development. It was SO cool to experience this :) I also have four years of experience working in a doggie daycare and boarding facility at Dog Days based in Palm Beach Gardens where I had to oversee and manage multiple dogs simultaneously. I developed a keen understanding of canine body language, allowing me to swiftly address any potential conflicts and prevent altercations from arising. Working with dogs of all sizes and breeds has taught me invaluable insights into their behavior, facilitating a safe and harmonious environment. I got to work with puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs! Although I'm not a groomer, I had the responsibility of bathing/ blow drying/brushing out all of the dogs which were boarding at the facility and about to depart. For 1 year I worked at a dog training and boarding facility, with the responsibilities of a kennel technician at The Dog Training Clinic located in Loxahatchee. During this time, I attended to the grooming and sanitation needs of the dogs, providing each one with individualized attention and care. Responsibilities being providing each dog with food and plentiful of walks to maintain their energy. Bath time was also given to the dogs upon departure from our facility. In addition to my professional endeavors, I have independently offered dog walking and boarding services for over a decade, catering to the needs of neighbors, friends, and family. Previously, for a short time I had the privilege of dog walking for a reputable local business in Jupiter; however, a relocation unfortunately caused the departure from that role. I look forward to utilizing my professional experience and my own dog mom experience to provide exceptional care for your baby. With my extensive background and genuine love and passion for dogs, I am very confident in my ability to ensure their well-being and happiness 😁

Alexis was amazing with my dog. I was a little nervous at first because it was my first time leaving my pup with someone, but Alexis made me feel comfortable the whole time. She kept me updated with details and pictures each day. Alexis was also was very flexible and accommodating when my work schedule was changed last minute. My pup had a great time and I’d recommend her to anyone.

There are so many amazing things to say about Alexis, but I’ll try and keep this short. I have known Alexis for a few years now, being that she is my go to person to watch my dog when I leave town or for miscellaneous events. I have an 8 year old Manchester Toy Terrier who I absolutely love to pieces and only trust certain people to take care of her. Alexis is my number one. She has a dog of her own, which is great, because she’s has automatic experience. She is beyond loving and has such a kind heart. She will love your pet as her own! She will go above and beyond for anyone’s pet. My dog, is on medication that she needs to take daily, and I never have to worry about Alexis giving my dog her medicine. It’s a big relief knowing my baby girl is safe. In conclusion, Alexis is very responsible, extremely reliable and beyond caring. I highly recommend Alexis to anyone who needs their pet taken care of, at a 5 star rate. She’ll never disappoint!

I’m very please how Alexis sense of responsibility and care Alexis shows towards my dogs. She has been a great help and peace of mind knowing she will give her best effort and care. Alexis has alway been on time and I can always count on her. Love the communication she provides me whenever I’m away from my furry friends. I would always trust her with them.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in patio gate and also a balcony, so your baby will always be kept close to me while still able to enjoy our sunshine and fun smells outside aside from our walks. I live in a safe neighborhood with lakes so the smells are top notch ;) (or so i figure from the dogs noses stuck to the grass working those brains!!) I do NOT EVER let the dogs get close to the water as a safety precaution. I will typically give 3-4 walks daily to stretch their legs and get their bodies moving and grooving!! I promise to ALWAYS ensure your pets safety when in my care. Their safety is my absolute 1st priority. I will always maintain communication with the pet parent under my care, sending lots of photos and videos! I am a dog mom myself so I know how appreciative the photos are! I have a lot of fun and tend to take photo shoots of them on my iphone and try to get my clients a nice shot of just how cute their baby is! (spoiler: lots of treats are used) I am a dog sitter out of true passion. I really truly want to hang out with dogs and absolutely spoil them and make sure they are having a blast and want to come back! 🐾

Information Alexis G. would like to know about your pet

I only allow potty trained dogs. I unfortunately do not accept elderly dogs (as much as I’d love to, my own dog can be a bit too barky & energetic for it and I’d hate for that to cause any issues. However elderly dogs are very happily welcomed for pet sitting stays in the comfort of their own home! :) ) I NEED to know if they are dog friendly (again I have my own dog so its very important to know if the dog is friendly) (if not, its not an issue we can arrange for them to be separated at all times, I just need to know up front to assure all dogs involved are safe) Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! I'd like to know if your dog is -people friendly -how dog friendly your dog is -what their normal day to day routine is - what makes them happy!! -what makes them stressed/scared/unhappy -if they take any medications -have any allergies -special needs -anxiety Do they prefer to be crated, or absolutely despise it? Considering South Florida's tempermental weather, how does your dog react to thunderstorms?

A typical day

A typical day would be several walks throughout the day around the neighborhood. I love taking the dogs to a local park and take them around the trails. If a dog particularly likes car rides then we will go on an adventure! (If i get the OK from the pet parent, we'll grab a Puppachino on the way home! ?) If the dog is a beach pup I’m more than happy to catch some waves! If your dog is a cuddler there is a huge chance they will be sleeping with me! I always allow the dogs onto furniture unless directed by the pet parent otherwise. When I take your baby into my care I lovingly treat them as if they are my own!

Full disclosure- I have other employment commitments 5 days a week, 3 of those working days I'm off work by midday so I have plenty of time to hang out with your dog throughout the day. On the other 2 days I'm typically home later in the day however I do have my dog loving boyfriend that is home all day when i am not to watch over the dogs safety and take them out potty while I'm at work. We have our schedules set up to be alternating so there is somebody home as much as possible. Your baby will never go more than 3 hours in the daytime without the opportunity for a potty break. Thank you for understanding!! <3 On my 2 days off, I am a true homebody and like to stay home with the dogs. However if your dog is active and I have permission, I will happily take your pup out on the town! I try my very best to make sure your baby is getting enough attention, care and LOVE throughout their stay 💗💗
