Pet care experience
I'm a college student studying Biochemistry during the day and have a Lab/Vizsla mix. I love to stay active, so you can always find me running, hiking, or at Dog Beach with my four-legged friends. Energetic pups are no problem for me-a tired pup is a happy pup! While I love exploring the outdoors, the couch potato in me is just as happy to relax inside and give your dog all my attention + plenty of belly rubs. I grew up with a MinPin, and cared for her throughout her senior years. I am comfortable caring for pups with special needs as well. I am detail-oriented and have experience following a medication schedule and providing gentle baths. Once the stay begins, I have custom tags with my contact info that I can attach to your dog's ID tag. With great patience and repetition, I enjoy teaching my dog new tricks and am willing to integrate basic obedience sessions in with your pet too, if requested! I would be happy to watch, walk, run, and play with your loved one, and send update pictures along the way to show they are in great hands.

Alexis cared for my almost two year old pup as if he were her own. I was updated daily with a picture or two and I could tell how happy my Yoda was. This made it easier to be away from him for nearly three weeks! I will definitely be booking with Alexis again!

What is your dogs preferred exercise routine? If a jog/run is preferred over a walk, how is your dog on a leash? Any pulling to look out for? Other behaviors to be aware of? Are there any medications I will need to administer?
A typical day
If he/she has a favorite park I can make sure to go. Long play sessions of fetch/tug/basic commands are my favorite. I'm mindful of the heat, especially with our California weather, so I always check the pavement isn't too hot for our friends' paws and ensure to walk/run on more shaded routes on the warmer days to keep them from overheating. I always bring a foldable bowl and some water just in case there aren't any fountains nearby (:
