Pet care experience
I volunteer at a local non-profit animal shelter. I have been volunteering for about 2 years. In the two years I have volunteered, I have rescued two senior dogs. I also do research at UTEP with ducks. I have been working with ducks for a year now. After I graduate UTEP, I will be pursuing Veterinary school. I am experienced in giving oral and injection medication. I am experienced in dog potty training. I am also experienced in cleaning up after cats and dogs due to my volunteer hours at the animal shelter. I have experience caring for birds (ex: parrots, ducks, chickens). I grew up with parrots and chickens. I have a total of 5 dogs. 4 small dogs and 1 medium sized dog.

Over the past two years, I have had the pleasure of supervising Alexis as a volunteer at Pet Guardian Angel. She is an absolute delight to work with: energetic, a go-getter, she tackles every project with positivity and determination. And yet, what truly sets her apart is the intrinsic love she has for animals, and the easy skill with which she is able to bond with them. For Alexis, the needs of the dogs always come first. If a dog needs time to be won over, she waits. If a dog needs soft hands and a gentle touch, she pets lightly and hugs tightly. I know few people who possess her easy way with animals, and who loves the dogs as much as they love her.
Alexis is very caring and would do anything to make sure your pups are loved and taken care of while she is responsible for them. I have never met an animal that has not loved Alexis and she truly loves them back. I can guarantee that she remembers the name of every animal that she has come in contact with and worries to this day how they are. She commits to every task and is very detail oriented so she would provide the best possible care to even the most pesky pup.
I have known Alexis for 7 years now and she is one of the most compassionate and trustworthy friends out there. I have no doubt that she would be an amazing dog caregiver, being both reliable and friendly. She is an owner of several dogs herself and she treats them with the upmost respect. I firmly believe she will do an amazing job as a rover dog sitter.

I have no breed preference. I have much more experience taking care of smaller dogs. Before taking care of your fur baby I would like to know if they follow a schedule, take medication, have any triggers, their likes, dislikes.
A typical day
Depending on your fur babys behavior and comfort with me, I will accommodate to their likes. I will make sure to get to know their likes and comfort zone. If dog parks are not an option a walk around the neighborhood or even back yard. If your fur baby us active we can play fetch and they are older we can hang out by laying down.
