Pet care experience
I have had pets all of my life, and I have helped take care of them from puppies to seniors. I have applied that knowledge into my professional work as well. I can feed and bathe pets, walk, and administer pills. I have previously worked with dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies. I am also close to several animal shelters and help socialize, walk, help with adoptions, and foster when needed.

Alexis is, by far, the absolute best pet sitter that we have ever had! She truly loves our babies like her own. She is extremely thorough…taking notes, sending pictures, and making sure that they are so well-cared for. She even keeps a log of all of their daily activities. Our babies love Alexis so much and we always know they they are in the best care when they’re with her.

I live in an apartment complex, but there is a dog park for fur babies to interact with one another. I have 2 roommates as well as my personal cat and my roommate's pug, so there is always someone to play with. If needed, I can crate dogs as well.

Before caring for a dog I like to know about their medications and typical schedules. I try to keep them on their schedules, so when owners come back there is no adjustment period. Schedules include their potty schedule, bedtime, food, playtime, etc. It is also important to know how they do with other dogs and cats, if there are allergies, and how they handle walks and temperments with other animals. Also, in case of emergency I like to have emergency contacts such as their vet and nearby friends/family of the owners.
A typical day
I like taking them on walks, playing with their toys, and snuggling while we watch TV. Since I live in an apartment complex, I don't have special places, but if the dog is fully vaccinated and does well with other dogs, I can take them to parks, the dog park, or to the local college campus or lake.

I have a part-time job that is done by 3pm and I have weekends free most of the time, so I am very flexible! I have a personal cat that I take care of and he is great with all other animals.
