Hi my name is Alexis, I'm 26 years old and extremely experienced with all animals. I have a history in the veterinary industry, working for a general practice for almost 2 years, and then transitioned into veterinary oncology for over a year specializing in chemo and radiation treatments, as well as palliative care for cats and dogs end of life care. I'm based in Lake View East, so I am in a great area for short and lengthy outdoor walks! I am willing to petsit for any animal, I love them all. I have 3 labradoodles, and a schnauzer. I have grown up with cats, dogs, horses, rodents, and reptiles. I have a special connection and demeanor with all animals; any breed, size, personality, or temperament. I can work with timid, nervous, or territorial pets as well. If you have a pet with special health or dietary requirements, or medications that need to be given, I can easily handle those requests as well. Can't wait to meet you and your dog!

Alexis was an amazing pet-sitter for our dog. She was easy to reach, communicative, and trustworthy. She kept us very updated over the weekend and sent many pictures of our dog which we loved. Alexis is a great pet sitter - she took care of my two cats for two weeks on very short notice and always made sure to give them lots of love and attention. I have known Alexis since she was 9 yrs old!! She was my neighbor for 10 yrs!! She always had a houseful of animals!! She would walk her 3 little dogs around the neighborhood !! She later became one of the barn kids at my stable!! She is an animal lover and is very responsible when caring for dogs -horses and other animal!! I'd like to know any medical, dietary, or allergy issues, as well as where the dog enjoys to go upon special request. I would also like to know if the dog has any fears or if he/she does not get along well with other people or pets. Also, details on specials cues the owner would prefer me to use when with the dog for obedience or training purposes.
A typical day
I can take your dog anywhere, to the dog park, a swim in the lake, a run around the city, out to Starbucks for a Puppuccino, or just for a stroll. If your dog does not do well with other dogs or people I can also take him/her to a quiet park.

Availability
I’m currently a server at Mables Table in Bucktown, so I am free in the mornings 7 days a week, and all day Monday Tuesday. If informed ahead of time, I am willing to request time off work. I am an extremely active person so I spend a lot of days walking my dogs, and love to be outside.
