Pet care experience
I've been around animals my whole life and now study them for a living. My grandma owns a dog boarding kennel and I practically grew up there. I helped out with feedings, cleanings, and grooming until I graduated high school and moved away for college. It was hard not having pets around, so I began pet sitting in my college town! Most of my clients were regulars at my waitressing job who trusted me to take care of their homes and furry families while they went away. I have always loved spending time with animals and I would love to get to know your fur-babies while you go on adventures.

Lex was fantastic! We were hesitant to try Rover because we had never left our cat Louie with anyone besides family members but our plans for kitten care fell through shortly before a long-planned trip so we decided to try it. We found Lex and she went above and beyond taking care of our little cat. We also left during an intense cold snap and winter storm, but that didn’t stop Lex from checking in on Louie and our house multiple times a day. It was not just reassuring to know Louie was being taken care of but that our house was staying warm in the storm. Lex sent photos and videos of Louie and was very communicative with us. There’s a no doubt in our mind that we’ll have Lex watch Louie again in the future. Thanks, Lex!

I am more than happy to do drop in visits throughout the day on my way to and from work as well as on my days off to do feedings, give medications, and play with your buddies until you get home for the day. I am also happy to stay with them overnight as needed and can give you a hand whenever you have to be away from home for longer periods.

If your pet is on a strict feeding schedule or has any medications that must be delivered at a precise time please let me know so I can fully accommodate those requests. Also if you have a special play time routine you do every day I would be happy to do that, just let me know ahead of time what that routine looks like so I am well prepared for the task.
A typical day
I love playing fetch and tussling around with pups. I grew up with German Shepherds, boxers, and collies who all loved to rough house and needed ample stimulation with brain games to keep them comfortable and happy and I am well equipped to the needs of the high energy breeds you may have. Additionally, I have family who rescues pugs that I routinely house sit for so I am no stranger to the snuggle and gentler playtime needs of the little guys as well.

Availability
I’m currently working in a restaurant in Whitefish! I primarily work evenings starting at 4pm and I normally have 3-4 shifts a week. Aside from that, I’m free to spend as much time as needed with your pets while you’re gone!
