Hello! My name is Alexis and I am 22 years old. I am a full time insurance representative. I naturally bond with animals and have been passionate about animals ever since I was a little girl. I have two cats and two leopard geckos. I am more than willing to work with you and your pet’s needs, regardless of species, breed, size, personality, age, etc. On top of loving all animals, I am skilled in caring for them. In 2019 I was a certified veterinary assistant through the FLVMA, have experience in a veterinary office as a vet tech and am certified in four areas of the agricultural industry, including animal biotechnology. Alexis took great care of our two dogs while we were away for Christmas! Her communication and updates were frequent. We had no doubt she was loving on our dogs while we were away. She spent extra time with them in the evenings and even bought them Christmas gifts! We would definitely recommend Alexis and she will be our first choice in the future!

I treat animals like they are people. You will never have to worry about the safety of your pet under my care. If I am not able to meet your pet’s needs, then I will not book them. To me, it is about the safety of your animal rather than me making a quick buck. I have 2 cats who are not keen on dogs, but they will be put away in my laundry room while your dog is in my home. I will not allow your animals to socialize with mine to minimize the risk of any fights and to protect their safety.

Please let me know of any aggression, health issues, medication, if they have fleas/worms/etc. I need to know the full run down on your dog so that I can ensure they are properly cared for under my supervision. I also need to know how well they are house trained. I will not watch dogs who are aggressive, that have pests or who are not fairly potty trained. I understand animals have accidents but I cannot watch an animal in my home who is not house trained. I also need to know if you will have a kennel. If they do not come with a kennel I will store the dog in my spare bathroom while I am away from my home. Please let me know their personality and behavior before booking with me. Please advise of any aggressive or destructive behavior before booking with me. If you do not inform me of any bad behavior before booking and your dog causes damage to my home you will be held liable. I would rather watch your dog in your home and accommodate their schedule in their home if they display any bad behavior. If you feel your dog may have issues please be honest with me, there is no judgment and the worst thing I can do is simply decline your booking. I WILL NOT WATCH ANIMALS IN MY HOME WHO ARE NOT UP TO DATE ON THEIR SHOTS OR IF THEY HAVE FLEAS/WORMS. If they aren’t up to date on shots or have fleas/worms/pests, I will be more than happy to drop by your home for care and book walks. This policy is just in place to protect my home, animals, and my boyfriend and I. Thanks!
A typical day
I have a dog park right across from my apartment for them to exercise without a leash. I am blessed to live in a nice apartment complex that is gated that provides a ton of sidewalks to walk all around. I do not own any dogs currently so you may want to bring their favorite toy and treats for them to feel more at home.

Availability
I work the typical M-F from 8-5. If you need me to drop by for feeds, I would do so before my work day, during my 1hr lunch break, and after work at 5pm. If you choose to board your animal with me, then they will be walked before I start my day, walked when I get home for lunch, and then free time until it is time for me to sleep. If my boyfriend is home (which he is during the day time) then he will allow the animals to have free time with him. We do not like leaving animals in our home unattended for long periods of time so they will be checked on every 2 hours if we are not there.
