Pet care experience
I've owned or been caring for friend's and family's dogs and animals since high school. I also grew up next to a horse farm so animal care has been a constant for most of my life. Most recently, I had the luck to spend 8 years with my best friend Lily, a rescued dachshund who was blind and eventually had severe mobility challenges - senior and special needs dogs welcome!

Alexis was responsive, friendly and took great care of my morkie. She has a calming disposition that my dog did so well with. He usually has a hard time being away from me but he didn't want to leave!
Alexis was the ideal caregiver for our dogs while away on a trip. Communication was great. She was very flexible with the dogs’ needs and on our timing. The dogs came home happy and not wiped out like they used to from a boarding facility. We would absolutely book with Alexis again!

My apartment has a large balcony and a dog park on-site as well as several walking trails and parks nearby so your dog will have plenty of opportunities for exercise and fresh air. I used to prepare my dog's food so I'm happy to assist with special diets. My dog was also blind, so I am able to keep my space set up for safe navigation & comfort for special needs animals.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs; happy to accommodate, especially the seniors! I do have neighbors in close proximity so if your dog is very vocal or is sensitive to new sounds, I ask that you let me know beforehand so I can prepare properly for your dog's stay.
A typical day
I live at a pretty expansive complex that has several paths and yards plus direct access to community walking trails so there is plenty to explore on long walks!
