Pet care experience
I believe you should choose me to care for your furry friends because I will always treat them right and treat them as if they were my own. I love animals and understand the need to have a trustworthy person taking care of another part of someone’s family. I have been caring for dogs for about 8 years now and I became a certified vet assistance in 2017 and have been a vet tech for 4 years now. I also have a 8 year old child of my own, who is also head over heels in love with animals. I have also taken care of family and client based pets; anywhere from weekend dog and cat sitting to coming in to feed and walk their dogs for morning and night feedings, if needed.

My housesitting booking started in the evening before Alexis was hosting a farewell party at her home (communicated ahead of time). She gave my dog a walk and went home for the party. When she returned after 10PM local time (later than I was told) she said she had to go back home to clean up and would be back at 6:30AM and was just "giving me a heads up." I immediately communicated that she needed to be staying at my house overnight as that is what I booked and what we discussed during the meet and greet. We finally confirmed she would be back that night after cleaning up to spend the night with my dog. She never returned that night. The next morning when she responded she said she fell asleep on the couch at home. I understand accidents happen, but cleaning up after the party took priority over taking care of the living being I had entrusted her with. She returned to my house at 6:30am the next morning, let me dog out to potty, fed him breakfast, and went back to sleep for a few hours. As soon as I could find someone else to watch my dog for the remainder of my trip, I cancelled our booking. I wish things had worked out better.
Alexis has been amazing she has watched our cat Hercules twice now and has communicating with us perfectly while we were out of town.

I always make sure to be careful as I can be when I’m house sitting by remembering to lock doors, clean all messes made, not to play too rough, take all stinky trash out to the dumpster, and clean all the water or messy paw prints up. I like to leave the house has I found it because that’s what I would want my pet sitter to do if I ever trusted them to come in and take care of my fur babies.

For me it just depends on the animal. I always ask owners detailed notes about their pets just so I can know what to look for in my clients that have special needs or take medication or just are old and need more attention.
A typical day
I usually like to let them go out and run in their yard, leash walk, and/or play in the house depending on the owners rules. Then calm them before the eat and then wait for a while and play or just relax with them so they can try and go to the bathroom before I leave again.

Availability
I work full time caring for animals so fitting another animal into my schedule is no problem. I make sure I account for potty time and play time in all my visits and make sure to clean up after the pets as well.
