Pet care experience
I have been around pets since I was 5 years old. It all started with a rabbit until we gained a cat and a dog. At one point in time, my house had 2 dogs and 11 cats (indoor/outdoor). I currently have 2 dogs (1 senior, 1 puppy) and 1 cat (senior). Throughout the past 25 years, I have cared for all aged dogs and cats with various ailments and illnesses. I have provided medications, participated in obedience and behavior trainings, and own an abundance of toys and treats for dogs. I also own a harness, leash and catpack for our cat and am very familiar with both indoor and outdoor cats. Additionally, I have many cat toys ranging from cat scratch posts and shoe laces to electronic interactive toys and laser pointers, as well as catnip and treats. Most recently I lived and helped care for a 2-year-old rabbit, so I feel confident in my bunny skills again. Unfortunately, fish are not my forte and if anything more than feeding is required, I am probably not your gal.
Reviews
I can’t say enough good things about Alexis. She was fantastic with my stubborn, anxious girl. It was very clear from the beginning that Alexis knows how to handle dogs. She sent me a ton of feedback and pictures, and it looked like my Roxy had the best time during their walks. Amazing!!
Alexis did such a great job with my 3 month old puppy - very communicative and obviously very experienced with all the challenges of young dogs. Would definitely book again!!
I've known Alexis for a while now, and honestly, she's been a total lifesaver. The way she treats her dog, Zara, you can tell she knows her pets. Whenever I'm called up for National Guard duties, which can have me away for days or even weeks, Alexis is one person I can count on to step in for my pup. She's incredibly attentive, always making sure she's got all the info she needs to be fully prepped for whatever my dog might need. And she's always two steps ahead, so I never have to stress anything knowing my dog's in her hands when I'm away. Peace of mind you just can't beat. Seriously, if you're on the lookout for someone reliable and loving to look after your pet, Alexis is the go-to person, no question.
There is no one else I would rather leave my animal with. They are always well exercised and cared for! She is my go to-ALWAYS!

I have an open back yard that is not fully fenced, but separates us from the neighbors. There is a dog park within 5 minutes walking distance from where I live, a beach that is a 10 minute drive and a lot of walking accessibility near the water and a safe neighborhood. As previously mentioned, I have two dogs, one puppy who would love to play with your dog, and an older dog who can be a bit grumpy but well-behaved when mom/dad are around (can also be separated in a separate area of the house if that is more comfortable for you), and a cat that stays primarily in his own area of the house (he is still learning the new puppy). We have a crate, extra leashes, plenty of poop bags, lots of toys, and even more love for your furry friends.

Information Alexis A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special or specific needs. This can include a specific routine, medications, allergies, or things to avoid. I want your pet to feel safe with me and I want to feel safe with them, so more information is always better!
A typical day
I am available to meet your dogs wants and needs. If your pet is more relaxed and prefers naps on the couch with a lot of love, I have plenty of space and love to give. If your pet is on the other end and requires constant attention, I have all different kinds of toys for chewing, tugging, and fetching. Just a five-minute walk from my house is a dog park where we can walk and play more. There is also a beach that is a 10-minute drive if your pet likes to swim. The neighborhood is full of other animals and has plenty to smell and see if we need a long walk too.

Availability
Currently, I work full time as a travel nurse which requires 3, 12-hour shifts a week, the other 4 days of the week I am free to love on and adventure with my pets and yours! Outside of work, I am what some would consider a gym rat and I love the outdoors. I get my two pups and cat out as much as possible, as long as the weather permits (they hate the rain). Otherwise, we are pretty consistent with playing and training inside the house. I am very flexible with scheduling around times that you may need and I have a car that provides reliable transportation. My husband works remotely with occasional odd-end jobs but when he's home, he is available to care for our fur babies so I can focus on yours!
