Pet care experience
I have owned and adored pets since birth. They are a joy to be around regardless of temperament or age. I have a soft spot for senior pets as I grew up with a cat who was my responsibility from 3 years old until she passed at 18 years of age and I went on to foster senior cats exclusively for 1 year thereafter. I have experience with fostering as well as owning dogs, cats, reptiles and rodents and a soft spot for freshwater fish. My sister is a dog trainer and my best friend is a ranch owner, they have not only passed on experience but trusted me with their animals throughout the years. I have worked with everything from a blind Malamute down to a day old miniature rat terrier. I have cared for the full spectrum of pets from horses down to nano shrimp and enjoy every day of it.

Every pet is unique and special and therefore has different needs. I am capable of crating, transporting, walking, bathing, playing, medicating and adapting to your pets needs. I drive a pick up truck with plenty of room and have no fear of large or skittish animals. Every pet deserves unique care and I am here to care for them. Any special issues or concerns will be addressed with the love and compassion I give my own pet. I am a licensed pharmacy technician with experience in hospice care and a deep love for the animals that bring us all joy! Medication is not foreign to me and I pride myself with getting animals to take their medicine regardless of their temperament. I realize how complex special needs or elderly pet care can be and I don't shy from it-in fact, I genuinely enjoy it.

Everything! Only kidding, I cannot wait to meet you and your companion and get to know them. Generally I have no conditions except for the following: although I have experience with many temperaments and sizes of dog, I am limited by my strength with larger breeds. Please indicate if your dog is one of the larger breeds (over 150lbs).
A typical day
A typical day starts with evaluating my new friend's needs with their owner! More than likely I will take a dog on a walk in Baywood or Cambria depending on location and needs. If a dog is friendly and appropriate, I will hit the dog park and then some sincere and flexible downtown afterwards.

Availability
I currently am remodeling my spouse and I's first home and as such have plenty of work to do but no particular schedule. I am happy to drive up to an hour away and at any time day or night Monday-Thursday. My cat is getting older and my husband works out of town most of the week so sadly I cannot stay with your pet as much as I would love to. My lovely old lady gets lonely and cold without me home and will not tolerate any other animals. Special circumstances could be considered depending on the situation.
