Currently I work at a dog groomers part time, my hours vary from 4-7 hours a day during most week days. Michael is home most of the time as he works from home so your pet usually won’t be alone for long.

I keep anything that dogs might get into kept away safely where they can’t access them. If I ever have to leave the house I typically shut doors to rooms with anything that dogs might get into not that there is much but just as an extra precaution.

Please let me know how long your pet can be alone for and how they behave alone, we cannot accept dogs who bark a lot when they are left alone as we want to respect our apartment neighbours. If your dog requires constant care (cannot be left alone at all) please let me know ahead of time as there will be a constant care fee added.
A typical day
I live right across from a dog park with lots of lovely dogs. Walks with lots of sniffing and playing with toys is super important to me as well.

Pet care experience
Pets have always been a part of our lives, big and small, especially dogs. I (Alexia) am currently working as a dog grooming assistant where I am handling dogs everyday of each size, breed, and with different behaviours. I also had multiple dogs growing up who I assisted in caring for. Michael, my partner, currently works from home and assists me with providing care for our furry visitors if I’m at work or need an extra set of hands! We keep our home dog proofed and keep close eyes on any pets in our home, never leaving them unattended for too long regardless.

Alexia and Michael are true gems! My dog can be very challenging to dog-sit, but they took incredible care of him. They sent updates and pictures, which completely put my mind at ease while I was away on vacation. I highly recommend them.
Alexia and Michael were great at looking after our dog. They communicated quickly and clearly, and provided daily photos. They were attentive to our dog, who need some time to get used to new people. I will certainly book them again to look after our dog.
Very nice couple : ) they took car of Sydney, my poodle, for 2 weeks this summer. They let him acclimate and were providing constant communication on how he was doing. Very caring. Would definitely recommend.
