Pet care experience
About me: I studied conservation biology and am currently working in restoration and land management and enrolled in a wetland science program. I love to be outdoors hiking, kayaking, diving, and camping. I grew up with dogs and love my 95 lb family dog Thor who is home in upstate NY. I have many references from friends and pet owners who have seen me with and had me care for their dogs in the past. I can’t wait to spend time outside with your furry loved one! Pet care: I am newer to Rover but not new to caring for dogs. I love to go on long walks and I’m open to running or going to the park. I am playful and great with high energy pups too. I give great scratches and can help train them if you have skills you are working on. I have personal and professional experience in animal husbandry and working in nature centers caring for reptiles, amphibians, and fish. I am also a plant lover and I can water your indoor plants or take care of your garden. I hope you will choose me as your next pet sitter!

Allie took great care of our dog Ernie at the last minute and was phenomenal! Would highly recommend to anyone. Very responsible and responsive while we were away. Cannot thank her enough for her attention to detail and diligent care.
I felt that Allie was very flexible as we were scheduling last minute. Our pup was recovering from surgery and Allie asked very thorough questions regarding her care. With lots of meds, she seemed to have followed Daisy’s regimen closely. She was even flexible with taking our pup to an outdoor work event to ensure she could care after her. I appreciated the photos and frequent walks Allie sent photos of! My only complaint is that Allie’s profile was listed as “non smoking household” and Daisy’s items came home with a scent of marijuana smoke. This is not a practice in our home as we have sensitive members of the family so unfortunately I spent our Sunday returning washing and airing out items. Allie may just need an updated profile selections :)
Allie is an animal lover who grew up with dogs in her home her whole life. She is a conservation biologist and has a deep appreciation for wildlife and nature. I’ve gone on many hikes and camping trips with her and her dog Thor. They are like two companions and Allie understands how to keep Thor happy and safe. He is a great dog who has obviously had the care and training any dog should have. Allie is responsible and caring. She would be a great person to look out for the needs of a dog while also respecting the needs of the owner. I would highly recommend Allie as a dog caregiver!
Alexandria was just what our dog needed. She accomdated us with short suspense, kept our house clean, and kept Mac happy. She is very communicative and sent pictures often. Highly recommend!

I love all dog breeds especially big ones! It’s good to know whether dogs are comfortable around other dogs/animals in case we encounter them when walking. I also like to know if your dog will run away easily and how they are off-leash.
A typical day
I am an avid outdoors women and I have a lot of spots I can take your pet for walks including in my neighborhood. I have a good arm for playing catch and I am used to walking/playing with big dogs. We can also go running or to a dog park if you are comfortable with it.

I currently have a flexible schedule and am open to working with the needs of your pet. I cannot currently offer overnight boarding in my home. I prefer to find pet owners in my neighborhood or Boston harbor area.
