Pet care experience
Hi! My husband and I are are excited to host another dog in our home or I would be happy to visit your home and look after your cat (see below for cat sitting experience). We have a 6 year old dog who we’ve raised from 8 weeks old. The experience of being a dog owner in NYC has provided all the knowledge we need to care for your dog. We know how important it is to provide a lot of exercise (if required), good care for feeding, playing, and treats as well as lots of cuddles! - Every morning, afternoon, and night we take our dog to the park to play fetch and run around for up to an hour. - Mid day potty breaks and fun walks are also a great way to breakup the work from home schedule. - Our dog requires a little extra attention for feeding with meal mixers, etc so we can accommodate dogs that need some special work to eat. We both grew up in smaller towns and have had dogs our whole lives. There are many different pup parenting styles out there and we are happy to accommodate for the needs of each individual dog/owner. Additionally, we have experience in training puppies to be independent, walk on a leash, common commands, and potty training. We are happy to help train your new pup! Cats (for drop in or sitting): I grew up with cats and had two from the kitten stage. Currently, many of my friends have cats that I have helped care while they travel so I am versed in caring for them! I’ve had experience with administering pills, and give extra attention for feeding or play time! I know some cats can be temperamental which doesn’t scare me. I’m happy to give them space or attention during my stay with them. I can travel to your cat but +12min one way (+24min round trip) will be extra- thanks for understanding!
Reviews
Alexandria is our go to cat sitter. We cannot recommend her enough.
We had Alexandria check in on our cat a second time and everything went as smoothly and perfectly as the first time. We highly recommend her for any of your pet needs.
Alexandria was an excellent cat sitter. She arrived on time each visit, communicated very well, and kept us updated on our pet with photos, videos, and notes. We couldn’t have had a better experience. We would definitely work with her again.
Coco always loves to stay with Alexandria and Kelly:)

Information Alexandria & Kerry M. would like to know about your pet
We’d love to know: - If your dog is potty trained (without a pee pad) and how often you get your dog outside for potty and play breaks. If it’s a male dog, will he mark in an unfamiliar apartment? - Is your dog leash, ball or toy aggressive? - Does your dog get along with other dogs?
A typical day
We love to let our dog play off leash in Central Park in the morning and are happy to accommodate your preference for off leash or not while watching your dog. - Going to dog friendly places like Boris and Horton is something we try to do but understand some dogs may not be social. - Tug and regular playing at home is something our dog requires so that can be expected! If I’m cat sitting I always tend to the food/water and littler box needs first and then take time to play, brunch or just sit with your cat to provide company in your absence.
