My parents gave me my first furry friend on my eighth birthday. And, we became inseparable! We played hide and seek in the backyard, shared my food with him and took naps together. I even taught him tricks such as to sit on his hind legs when he was about to get a doggy biscuit. Sadly, my furry friend grew older and went to dog heaven. At that point, my family decided to rescue a dog from an animal shelter. I noticed when we rescued a dog from the shelter it took her time to transition to our family dynamic. During this period, it was important for me to be caring, gentle and kind. After a few months, the dog found her loving role in the family. I have also been a dog sitter when my neighbors go on vacation. It was important for me to provide the best quality care for my furry friend by playing with him, taking him for daily walks, providing him with treats when leaving the house, filling up his bowl with food and water. Plus, I even cleaned his paws after every walk before he entered his home. Dogs are truly a human’s best friend. I love to spend time with my furry friends, make them smile and play ball with them.
