I’ve had a German shepherd of my own for 13 years which is said to be a long lived life for her breed. Heidi who grew up with my family had just passed this June. She lived a long, happy, and cared for life in our home. Heidi was given a sister, Astra during her last year on this earth. Though German shepherds have a bad reputation when it comes to how they are with strangers or new dogs, Heidi was very loving towards those outside our family and welcoming to her sister astra who we had rescued. I hope this story shows my love for all dogs even larger breeds who may not have the best reputation. I know how hard it can to be a dog owner worried about their beloved dog in the care of someone else especially in a world where thoughts easily cloud judgement. I can promise you that your dog will be safe and loved when they are with me as if they were my Heidi.
