Thank you for taking such great care of our kitties! ??

This was my first Rover experience, and possibly my last. I don't like to give negative reviews unless absolutely necessary, and I've waited a couple weeks because of my reluctance to speak negatively of someone, but this is a site that is supposed to provide excellent and reliable pet care, which it did not do. I was very clear that our dogs were not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time, both in my communications with Alexandra during the pre trip visit, as well as uploading it into the pet info area of my profile. We got a call from our neighbor asking if our dogs were OK because they had been barking non stop for hours. I checked in on the outdoor security cam and sure enough I could hear them barking non stop. I checked the front door camera and saw that she had left at 3pm. I waited until almost 8pm and then checked again - dogs still barking, and she had not returned. I messaged her, and she replied to let me know she had gone out for a birthday dinner. When I told her that the dogs had been alone since 3 and that 10pm would make it 7 hours (something I had been clear was not OK), she said she'd try to return before 10. She ended up not returning until after 10:30 pm. At this point, one of the dogs had chewed up our floor vacuum from the stress, and another one had peed on the couch (neither of which she told us about, we discovered vacuum parts in the trash, and then sat on the smelly couch.) I wish I could say that our experience matched that of some of the good reviews I saw on her profile, but we had a negative experience, and the almost $200 we spent for our 3 day getaway was not worth the services provided - the whole point was to ensure a stress free time for them with some pretty basic requirements.
