I've owned pets as long as I can remember and have actively cared for my own since I was 11 years old. At 13, I began house sitting and pet sitting for family and close friends. Around age 20, I worked as a pet care assistant for a major pet retail store for 2 years. After acquiring a Bachelor's of Science in Management and a short switch to retail, I decided I needed to return to my passion. I worked as the sole closing receptionist for a 24hr hybrid emergency/ general practice animal clinic. After 4 years of being the first point of contact for many animal emergencies, I decided I needed another change of pace. Working as a veterinary assistant allows me to help during more than just one critical moment. I hope to continue establishing meaningful relationships with pets and their owners by petsitting through Rover.
