Pet care experience
Growing up, my family had 5 animal friends (2 cats, 3 dogs) on our acre of property that I would feed, walk, and play with. During college and even into my professional career, I would pet-sit for friends, families, and colleagues. I love being around animals and caring for them. I also love helping people out, because I know how hard it can be to coordinate animal care! I have been a sitter on Rover for 2 years and have cared for cats, dogs, elder pets and kittens, snakes, rabbits, guinea pigs, and turtles.

Alexandra was very responsive in all communications, and took the initiative to schedule a meet and greet with my two cats and me. All of her check-ins were timely and the cats appear to have been well-cared for. I'll definitely be asking her to cat sit for me again!

Having so much experience house/pet-sitting in other's homes, I am incredibly respectful of your space and will treat your space with the same care I do my own. I'll listen for and learn about any quirks your cat or dog may have (if they're skittish, don't like certain sounds/objects, etc.) and make sure your pet feels safe around me. I'm a very open communicator and am super responsive to the signals your pet sends about their wants/needs.

I want to ensure your pet feels comfortable around me, and especially if we are going for walks it is helpful to have a sense of how they will react to any other dogs or people they see along the way, so I can best support them.
A typical day
We'll make sure to do some of your dog's favorite activities! If there's a park close by that they love to visit, a special toy they like to play with, or a game they could do for hours, I'll make sure to prioritize what will make the visit enjoyable for them.

Availability
I have just finished my Master’s program, so for the time being I have fairly open availability. However, once I start working more consistent hours at a full time position, my dog-walking availability will be open on the weekends. My drop-in visit availability is open weekdays and weekends, but depends on my work schedule. I'm available in the mornings (from 8am-9am), afternoon (typically 12-1pm), and in the evenings (after 6pm).
