Hi I’m Alexandra! I’m an experienced dog walker in Philadelphia. I had grown up with animals throughout my childhood in NYC. Occasionally, I would take care of my neighbors’ dogs as well. I had volunteered at the ASPCA for one year, socializing with dogs in their kennels and taking them out on fun walks. Currently, I own a 7 year old Akita and a 5 year old Rotticorso. Both have grown up to be amazingly large and sweet pups! I adopted my Akita when he was one year which he had behavioral issues at the start. My husband and I decided to take on a challenge and worked very hard to train him and gain his trust. Now he is a confident and affectionate dog. After having an Akita, we decided to adopt our rotticorso puppy. She was another challenging pup that had some medical issues from the start but we had stayed consistent in providing all the help she needed until she was free from her health issues. She was immediately a sweet dog the minute we started training her. The key lesson from our experience with our dogs is that consistency and patience helps establish trust. I enjoy being around animals especially taking them on fun walks. With my dogs, I hike and walk long distances resulting from energetic pups to happy tired pups. I have experience handling all types of dogs especially reactive dogs. One of main skills besides giving your dog a good exercise, is I’m able to read a dogs body language and figure out their needs. I treat every dog as if it were my own and make sure they are in good hands. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend!
