Pet care experience
My husband and I both love dogs and have both grown up with them. My parent’s had a Rottweiler when I was a child and then after university I spent a couple of months doing dogsitting before I started working. Meanwhile, my husband’s parents had dogs whilst he was growing up and now have a springer spaniel who comes to stay with us when they go on holiday. Matt and I both work from home full time and Darwin our Labrador loves having visitors- we often having his friend Daniel (the spaniel) to visit as well.

We could t haven’t wanted better dog sitters than Matt and Alex. Molly was so happy for the three weeks we’ve been away. She seemed to have just fitted into their life and routines. We had regular update pictures and comments about what she’d been up to and Molly was taken on some lovely walks. Alex and Matt accommodated all our requirements and we are delighted we’ve found dog sitters that we won’t hesitate returning to. Thankyou both and your gorgeous dog, Darwin, who has become a super playmate!
Sam had a great time and will be looking forward to his next stay!
Boo had a fantastic time with A & M!! They have lots of experience with bigger dogs and also with younger dogs (Boo is 14 months old). They are very calm and took great care of Boo.

We have a big secure garden which is completely enclosed and the dogs tend to have free rein downstairs and in the summer we leave the back door open so they can play in the garden.

We prefer larger breeds like labradors and our preference is for dogs that can walk off lead. We don’t allow pets upstairs or on the sofas either so it would be useful to know these things ahead of them visiting.
A typical day
Our go to walk is 5 minutes from the house and involves several open fields and a short cut through some woods but we also regularly drive over to Box where there is a lovely river and Darwin loves to go for a swim in that. We also enjoy big walks at the weekend.

We work from home and go out for walks with Darwin around the village and the countryside surrounding it. We have big open fields and woodland near us so there is lots of variety and stimulation.
