I have had dogs all my life. I am the proud owner of two rescues Smoke and Pedro. Pedro is an elderly dog I adopted so I take extra special care of the ones with age. I have a huge yard for running and play. I live in a nice quiet neighborhood that is perfect for long walks. I pay special attention to every dog that enters my house. I usually watch my father's dogs (he had three until my childhood dog passed away after a long and great life of 19 years )while he travels. I know if I needed a sitter for my dogs I would want the warmest and most trusting person to do so. I can be that person for you. My fiance and I live together and he has a set work schedule so he is always home around 2 pm. He is always off on the weekends and gives the dogs extra special attention on those days. John has two children(10 and 12) that come over every weekend and they love playing and spending time with the dogs. Both the kids and the dogs get their exercise while the kids enjoy running around the yard playing with the babies! John is also a fellow dog lover. He lets the dogs out as soon as he gets home and feeds our dogs around 4 pm if im not home. I work full time my schedule ranges from going into work around 7 or 10 or 11 30..the latest i get home is 9. I work 8 hour shifts..even if I go into work around 11 30 my Fiance will be home to be with dogs at 2. I always let the dogs out for potty when I get up and a walk before i leave for work. I also have a huge window that faces the front yard and street and I open it every morning so the dogs can look out and see everything. My job is only 13 minutes away and if i have dogs staying over, sometimes i will come home during lunch to do a quick check in. If there is an accident in the house (no worries) I have a carpet cleaner and it does a great job! We have a nice park three minutes away with a great wooded trail if your dogs need to get some extra energy out. But again my backyard is huge and most dogs love to run free and play back there but there is nothing like a good long walk. My living room is big and the dogs love to run around and play. The dogs are free to roam about and sit anywhere they like. I usually like to have the dogs I am watching sleep in the same room as us so I can make sure everyone is ok and comfortable. My fiance wakes up at 430 am so I usually let the dogs out at that time as well. In regards to any safety concerns you have for your pet I would like to put your mind at ease. I live 6 minutes away from Carolina Vet Hospital which is open 24 hours in case of anything. Long Animal Hospital and emergency center is only 12 minutes away which is a great facility with very kind employees. I am use to applying topical ointments and sprays, ear medications or flushes, to my dogs also and oral medications if your dog needs to be given any medication during his or her stay. If you would like me to give your dog a bath before you pick him or her up (and is comfortable enough with me doing so) I would be more than happy to. I have regular dog shampoo and conditioner and also sensitive skin wash just in case. When it comes to staying in contact i am always available via text during the day. I will always send you lots of photos of your baby if you request it.I also have skype if you want to have a one on one with your pet as well. I want to put your mind at ease in any way possible. If your dog has any special toys or blankets they need, feel free to bring them and I will make sure they are available to him or her. Also if your pet has a special diet and food please bring the diet instructions, food, and time you would like me to feed them. I am a very open person..if you have a special request just ask me! Most likely the answer will be yes!
