Huge fenced yard and rescue exp!
Pet care experience
*We are not taking new clients at this time and have slowed our dog-sitting business — if you are an existing client, feel free to reach out about boarding, but note that we have very limited availability at this time* We are lifelong dog lovers, each having grown up with a childhood dog, and now we’ve got two rescue pups – Bane and Laya – of our own. Before we moved to Connecticut from the greater Boston area in 2021, we were volunteers at a local dog shelter for 3+ years. Our family and friends have trusted us with their dogs while they traveled on numerous occasions, and we look forward to taking care of your pups, too.
Reviews
Alexandra & Kyle were the best sitters for our fur babies. They were very conscientiously of their needs. I have one that takes a bunch of meds. They made sure he received everything he needed. The daily pictures were awesome. I highly recommend Alexandra & Kyle. As a matter of fact, our fur babies will be staying with them for another visit for 6 days in a couple weeks!! Thank you so much for opening your home to RumChata & Jameson.
Both Alexandra and Kyle were extremely accommodating, kind, and so great with our dog! We loved Receiving beautiful pictures of King along with short but thorough updates on how he was doing, while we were on vacation. They communicated well which put all of us at ease, and established trust. King seemed to have a great time with them and we will totally use them again should we need to!
Alex and Kyle are amazing and took great care of our puppy. We loved the daily updates and photos.
Could not have been more pleased with Koa’s stay. Really enjoyed the daily pictures and videos of him playing with his friends.

We require a brief meet and greet for all new clients before we can board your pup. Weather permitting, meet and greets take place in our fully fenced backyard so that (1) the dogs can get to know one another off leash and (2) we can all assess whether it’ll be a good fit for boarding. We politely ask that you leave young children at home or in the car during meet and greets to ensure we’re seeing an accurate representation of how all the dogs might behave during boarding (we do not have children in the home). During boarding, our dogs freely roam our home, but we can easily separate and supervise as needed. Outdoor play is always supervised. We also feed the dogs separately, or as otherwise specified by owners (e.g. in their crate). Note: We are not currently accepting dogs from multiple clients at a time, but may make exceptions for repeat clients that we are familiar with. We will let you know if this exception applies to you or your booking (whether you are a new or repeat client). All of our boarding clients are required to schedule a meet and greet before their stay, and we will never agree to board a dog that we feel may create an unsafe environment for the other dogs in our home (our clients' or our own).

Information Alexandra & Kyle K. would like to know about your pet
Please ensure your dog’s Rover profile is filled out to the best of your ability! Prior to boarding and after your meet and greet, we will have you complete a brief intake form that will fill in any gaps that Rover does not capture (e.g. eating habits, anything behavioral to be aware of). Also, please let us know if your dog is NOT on any flea and tick preventative — we live in a woodsy area and want to make sure they’re safe.
A typical day
Our dogs and boarding clients typically spend their days playing or napping in the living room and romping around our fully fenced yard (see photo, chain link fence is 4 feet tall). They will often tire themselves out playing with one another, but we are happy to take your dog for walks around our quiet neighborhood if you prefer or that’s what they’re used to for daily exercise. We just ask that you provide a standard leash (we will not walk dogs using retractable leashes). If your pup likes to play fetch, we’ve got frisbees and a Chuck-It stick for the backyard. If they prefer to curl up on the couch instead of the floor for a nap, we’re fine with that! Let us know what your dog’s regular routine is like, and we’ll do what we can to keep things as consistent as possible during their stay. HIGH ENERGY DOGS: We may not be a good fit if your dog’s energy levels exceed those of our own dogs and/or if your dog requires exercise beyond backyard play + 1-2 brief walks/day.

Alexandra & Kyle can host
Availability
We both work from home Monday through Friday, and outside of work, our lives revolve around our dogs – they let us know when it’s time to wake up, when it’s time for bed, and pretty much everything in between. WEEKDAY DROPOFFS: If you are hoping to drop off your dog during the week, we may require an early morning (before 8am) drop off so that all of the dogs can settle before we begin our work days. We will let you know if this applies to you when you request to book. ADVANCED BOOKINGS: We are not currently booking more than 2 months in advance of a dog’s stay.
