Pet care experience
I have cared for all types of animals since I was a child. Rabbits, ducks, goats, chickens, reptiles, dogs, and cats. I love them all. I enjoy giving each animal the type of attention it likes, whether that's a long walk or sitting on the couch. I frequently dog and cat sit for friends. I have experience with senior dogs and picky, shy cats. I'll do my best to make your pet comfortable and allow you to relax.

We were able to travel for several days with peace of mind knowing that our kitties were well cared for. The care was so excellent that our cats' routines continued without interruption, and they gave no cold shoulder when we got home!
This was our first time with a pet sitter from Rover.com, and Alexandra met and exceeded our expectations. She was proactive with check-ins, so we never had to worry about our cats throughout our trip. Both cats took to her well, even our shy one. We definitely plan to hire her again for future trips.

When I visit your pets, I will follow your instructions as closely as possible and communicate with you frequently. I am happy to provide light grooming for your pet, to include baths, nail trimming, and tooth brushing, provided those activities don't stress your pet. I will not force an animal into a physical situation that risks it harming itself or me. I am also happy to administer oral medications.

I like to know about your pet's temperament and any behavioral sensitivities they might have. I have had dozens of pets and they're all unique. What is your pet's favorite activity? Favorite treat? What are you comfortable with your pet doing? If you have concerns about your dog's sociability in public, I can make sure to exercise them in more private, quiet environments. I am happy to care for any kind of pet. Should your dog have any serious behavioral issues, (eg. a history of biting or becoming particularly agitated or violent around certain triggers) I recommend that you take them to a professional with experience in dealing with those problems. I am not a licensed pet behaviorist or trainer.
A typical day
I love to give pets the physical and mental stimulation they crave. I'll walk or run with them or engage them with their favorite toys.

I have open availability on the weekends. I can also drop in or walk your pet early in the morning and early in the evening during the week.
