At this time I am not providing any of my usual services (grooming, walking, play groups, etc.) due to covid 19. However I have given a lot of thought to how I could help at this time. If ANYONE is looking for long term care for their pet at this time (2 weeks +) I would be able to provide this in my home. I am only able to accept one kid friendly (I have two almost 4 year olds), dog friendly (I have an intact 8 month old standard poodle who loves to run and play), and reasonably well behaved dog at this time. We would arrange the drop off and pick up to respect social distancing guidelines. Your pet would be bathed immediately upon arrival and immediately before you take them home at the end of their stay to avoid any contamination. I’m an extremely patient and positive person and have absolutely loved dogs my whole life! I absolutely love doing obedience and dog sports with my own guy Andy. I have a master's degree from York University and have taken many courses in behaviour science. I believe in using as much positive reinforcement as possible with pets to achieve behaviours we need to keep everyone safe and happy! My philosophy is to work slowly and steadily with walking nicely on a leash, grooming (brushing, noisy dryer or clippers, or nail clipping in dogs that struggle rather than use brute force like many groomers), etc. My educational background and passion for dogs make caring for dogs my absolute dream job! I am currently offering walks, play groups, and cage free grooming. WALKS I walk dogs one-on-one or in groups depending on owner preference. My dog Andy is always happy to join in on a walk if you would like your dog to get some social time with another dog! If I have another client who is a good match that is also an option (and saves you money!) PLAY GROUPS If you would like to book a play date or 'play group and groom' book as a 1 hour walk. involve playing in our large and safe fenced area with jumps, tunnels, and platforms and other fun props for the dogs to play. Groups are limited to 3 dogs with compatible temperaments and supervised 100% of the time. Pick up and drop off is included and dogs are secured in safety harnesses while in the vehicle! CAGE FREE GROOMING I only take one grooming client at a time and groom them from start to finish without ever putting them in a age. I take my time and give lots of breaks to play when needed, special rate for poodles and curly doodles of $50 on first haircut! I am very reliable, and love to keep my clients as up to date as they wish on how their dog's day is going with detailed reports, photos, how much food was eaten, behaviours, or anything other details you would like.
