I recently married my best friend/husband in a Church in Scotland (June 2018) and I now work from home as a TEFL teacher. I also study post graduate law part time as its a very interesting subject. I have looked after dogs as pets all my life and until a year ago had a very soft, loving golden retriever called Molly. She was part of our family & I now miss having a four legged friend to fuss, walk and give cuddles when my parents dog (also ‘Molly’ is not staying with me. It’s heart breaking when you lose a dog. I grew up with Heinz 57 dogs (cross-breeds/mongrels) and cats. I am very ‘fur-miliar’ (my terrible sense of humour -sorry) confident and attentive to their needs such as play time, dinner time and cuddles. A nice long walk or cuddles with a pet cat or dog at the end of a long day is just what we all need - just paw-fection...sorry enough puns now ;) A close friend of mine suggested I consider going ahead with ‘Rover’ after I looked after her pet cats. I looked after my friends cats for a few days and they were so lovely. They are mother and son and so affectionate. The mother is sadly elderly and poorly so she needed a bit more tlc from me during my stay. They had a strict routine and numerous medicines to take with their food as they were on a special diet. Jo said I did very well to follow their long lists of instructions re dietary requirements and felt happy for me to enjoy the company of their feline family when they went on holidays etc. I kept them up to date with photos and videos on face book. My life style is honestly just perfect for a dog, however, at the moment I am more than happy to simply ‘share’ family pets. For example, I tend to care for my parent’s cat and dog or my sister’s puppy - when they go on numerous holidays each year. I know that when the time is right I will rescue a new member of our family with four legs and a wagging tail from our local dog rescue/cat shelter, but I am not quite there yet. I am in my 30’s and can offer dog sitting, dog walking and lots of cuddles. My friends would describe me as a very sensible reliable person even though I have a daft sense of humour. I often enjoyed socialising my family pet dog Molly and we frequently join ‘meet up’ groups where we go on an extraordinarily long walks with ten plus dogs. And lots of fun and interesting humans. I try to visit different areas of the countryside and where it’s important for some dogs to be let off lead I recognise the importance of other dogs remaining on their lead for safety/precautionary reasons. I would request a pet care plan upon looking after your pet to ensure I understand their specific requirements from diet to play time. I trained my golden retriever in all the necessary aspects of dog training as well as fun aspects such as roll over balance a treat on your nose etc. She was such a super star a lovely girl. I miss her but was lucky to have her. Now I am ready to give your furry family lots of tlc, long walks etc. My diary will become a lot more flexible in the new year and I will look forward to meeting you in the new year!!
