Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Alexandra and I'm a recent Barnard College graduate. Growing up, I helped walk, feed and train our family’s cocker spaniel. Additionally, I looked after several neighborhood dogs throughout high school and college, giving me extensive dogsitting experience with dogs of all breeds and ages. Most recently, I fostered a dog for 4 months in 2021 through a local APL, which was an incredibly instructive and rewarding experience. I am happy to provide plenty of references if needed! I love to take long daily walks, so I would definitely keep your dog active. I'm also an avid reader/writer and wouldn't mind hanging around the house to keep your dog company for a few hours. As I mentioned earlier, all dogs are unique and their energy levels, eating habits, general needs, etc., vary on a case by case basis, so I’m happy to work with you to specialize the kind of care you’d like for your dog. Otherwise, any specific allergies or sensitivities the dog may have would be great to know beforehand!
A typical day
I love taking long daily walks around the silver lake and Hollywood reservoirs (2 miles and 4 miles long respectively), so I’d be happy to bring your dog along!

I am mostly babysitting and dogsitting this summer, so my schedule varies a bit week to week, but I typically have weekday mornings, afternoons, and some evenings free.
