Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Alex! I grew up around large dogs and have years of experience dog sitting and training for friends and family across all ages and breeds, as well as dogs with special medical needs involving medications, past trauma history, and assistance going up and down stairs. I have two friendly and cuddly cats at home, and someday hoping to have the right space and time to adopt a big floofy dog. My kitties are currently learning to come when their name is called and working on sensory training to feel comfy when I brush their teeth! All cats and dog sizes/ages are welcome, and I can't wait to meet your baby! :)
Reviews
Alex has always been so fun and caring with my 2 yo golden retriever Tillie! She is always up to take Tillie for a walk or an adventure in the woods and can keep up with Tillie's playful nature. Tillie is always excited when she gets to see and play with Alex.
Hello, I have known Alexandra for 7 years. She's extremely compassionate and caring towards all flora and fauna. Alexandra has been constantly moving since she finished graduate school, so she has never quite had the means, permission, or the space to fairly raise a puppy of her own. Though this is true, this is probably the first thing she will do when this becomes a possibility. She is constantly volunteering herself to care for her friend's and family's dogs, and has handled many breeds both big and small. Alexandra's love for dogs is real, I couldn't think of anyone better for the job!

Safety, trust & environment
My home: I have a large, open concept home that is "baby proof" due to our two curious cats at home. If needed, our cats are comfy hanging out in our master bedroom where we have a screen door so they can still observe, if your dog isn't a fan of cats. If you decide to board with us, I only accept one family at a time. I want to make sure safety comes first, and this will also allow me to create a homey environment and give more attention! We currently do not have a fenced in yard (but hope to soon!). Aside from going on daily walks, if you are comfortable, I can link your dog to a run or a long rope, while supervised, to enjoy the outdoors as we have about an acre of open space in our back yard.

Information Alexandra D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there are any commands or special care your animal needs, such as training routines, feeding routines, medications, behavior triggers, special ingredients to use or avoid, or anything else your dog or cat requires to ensure their comfort and safety. I would also like to know if your pet gets along with cats and other animals. If your animal is boarding, this will be important to make sure I can accommodate a safe space for everyone. I can administer injected medication to dogs on a case by case basis. I would prefer you to demonstrate during a meet or greet, or quick description of your routine prior!
A typical day
We will usually go for walks around the neighborhood and on our property. We can drive to nearby nature preserves or parks as well. I also like to play "hide and seek" or practice sniffing out hidden pieces of food or treats around the house for cognitive exercise. With cats, we usually enjoy playing with the wand or bells. Of course, let me know any favorite activities and toys your dog or cat enjoys spending time with!
