Pet care experience

I grew up always having animals to take care of in the house and at my grandmothers farm. I worked at a day play and boarding facility for three years and learned all there is to know about reading dog body language when it came to interacting with other dogs and humans. I learned how to manage anywhere between 20-40 dogs playing in a yard by myself or with only one other pack leader. It was essential to bond to each dog individually to learn its triggers and boundaries and to always be 3 steps ahead of them. Organizing 20+ lunches a day became a normal and easy thing for me, making sure each dog gets the correct type of food and correct amount, along with creams/supplements/pills etc for those who needed them. I’ve broken up more dog fights than i can count and feel extremely comfortable and confident doing it with the knowledge to keep myself and all dogs involved safe and de-escalate the problem as quickly as possible, and then staying quick on my feet with distractions or a different solution like separation to prevent from happening again. The best way to break up a dog fight is by having the skill to prevent it from ever happening. I also did dog grooming for 2 years which taught me a lot about patience and problem solving when it came to reactive dogs. I have been training positive reinforcement style for 3 years now. I focus on puppy and rescue classes usually but have dabbled with more advanced classes along with agility and rally classes aswell. With all of my experience I’ve dealt with just about every sort of dog from blind/dead seniors to tripod pups still learning how to balance on 3, so i feel confident in being able to provide your dog the best care possible! I also have my dog CPA license!

Alexandra had watched my animals quite a few times actually; 2 indoor cats and 2 indoor large 75 pound dogs. She went above and beyond in caring for our fur babies. They absolutely love her and when she comes to stay at our house to watch the animals while we’re away. Because of her we have very high expectations and standards when looking for someone to watch our our fur babies, when she isn’t available. She also has experience bathing and grooming dogs. She’s reliable, responsible and respectful of wishes. I highly recommend her to anybody looking for someone to walk, bathe, train, or watch after their animals.

Alexandra "Allie" watched my dog while she worked at Woofs Play and Stay. I watched her several times interact with both my Dog Monty and all of the other dogs at Woofs and they all adored her. She was very good at keeping the pack in order and getting them to follow commands like sit and stay. She would walk into one of the group rooms and address each dog by name, you could tell by the dogs reaction they all adored Allie. I highly endorse and recommend Allie for Dog sitting and would trust my Monty with her fully.

Before sitting for you for the first time, I will ask for a simple breakdown on your animals commands so I can make sure to use the right phrases and hand gestures to get them to do what I am asking without confusing them or ruining previous training. I understand that training can become tarnished by others which can be frustrating. If you do not allow your dog to jump on people, I will continue doing those training practices when I am with them alone. I would say one thing that stands out between me and other sitters is that i know how to read and comprehend dog body language to a T, and will not ignore that comfortability threshold. I meet your furbaby in the middle wherever they are. as much I love to give pets and snuggles, if your animal Shows signs that it’s not enjoying something, i will respect that and i won’t push it. If I sit for you, you should expect pupdates! I will send you photos/videos of your pet and let you know how they are doing throughout the day to ease your mind and put a smile on your face!
