We love having dogs to stay in our family home 🐾
Pet care experience
Hello, I’m Alex, Mum to two boys 14 & 11 and Lulu the Cavapoochon & Ted the Cavapoo. We love dogs & thoroughly enjoy looking after others. We have a large secure garden, I’m fully insured and have a recent DBS certificate. I am also canine 1st aid trained. Your dog will be looked after like one of the family. With Lulu being diabetic I am also trained to administer insulin via injection for my dog & am happy to do this is needed for yours too.
Reviews
What a wonderful pain free experience it is leaving your dog with Alex. She is a genuine dog loving person and this is apparent as soon as you walk into her warm and welcoming house. I was able to go on a last minute trip as Alex was so accommodating over the Xmas period. I was kept up to date with my dogs walks, food etc and felt completely at ease. Alex has recently had her back garden re fenced so the dogs are dlwsys safe. I would highly recommend this lovely lady. My dog was very content to stay with her.
Our dog Rudy had the best day with Alexandra! We requested to book only the day before, Alexandra kindly accepted and helped us out with our urgent request and we couldn’t have been happier to find her. She was so professional, doing everything she could to ensure Rudy had a safe and happy stay with her, and providing loads of photos and info on the lovely country walk they went on. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will be using her for any future dog sitting needs.
I want somebody who really cares about, not just for, my pooch, and Alex is that person. My pup trots in with his tail up and demands a cuddle from Alex or one of the boys, and the fact that he clearly feels at home and is happy to go back is all I need to know. It’s a lovely family home with kind people who clearly love animals.

I have 2 happy dogs to keep yours company and a large fenced, secure garden. You’re welcome to bring their cage or bed for sleep & chill time, whichever they prefer. We also welcome “meet & greets” so your dog can have a sniff about & you can see how we work.

Information Alexandra C. would like to know about your pet
Ahead of your dog’s stay we ask you to come for a meet & greet, so your dog can have a good sniff about & familiarise themselves with us & our home. It’s a chance for us to fill out your Client Information Form, which tells us a little bit about you & your dog. The more we know about routine, feeding, temperament, likes, fears, the more we can help them to feel at home with us. We can have a cuppa whilst we chat too. *Well trained on lead please. Unable to take strong dogs who pull.
A typical day
We start our day with some breakfast and a nice walk in the local area.. We listen to your dog’s needs in terms of exercise & play. Our first walk is up to an hour or so. Then we come home for a little snooze (the dogs not humans!).. Playtime usually includes some ball games.. Cuddles are always available. And we have a second walk in the afternoon. Evenings are for playing with my children and cuddles on the sofa. In the winter we have the fire lit, it’s really cosy.
