Pet care experience
I joined Rover to get experience with a variety of dogs of all levels. Every interaction can teach me something about dog handling and motivation that I can use to accomplish my goals and incorporate into my training. The flexibility allows me to work around my Search and Rescue training with my own pup and the time I put into teaching, painting, volunteering at a rescue, and dog sports. I love exploring new areas and getting to know the city I live in and the other places in the country I travel to. I'm certified in CPR and First Aid for pets, humans, and wilderness survival. I plan to use my dog training experience to save shelter dogs and place service animals for people in need.

I seriously appreciate Alexandra right now, I was on call at my job all but two days this week and she was able to stop in on my little Lizzy and make sure she went to the bathroom, ate, and they even played a little. Highly recommend you check her out.

I train with Alexandra on a search and rescue team, and as a result I have been able to observe first hand how she trains her high energy dog. Alex and her pup have a strong bond that has been cultivated through hard work and attentive listening on both parts. Alex has a strong understanding of canine body language and vocal sounds and is able to control potentially tense situations with an ease that calms everyone involved. I personally have adopted some of her training techniques with my own dog and have seen great results. Anyone leaving their pet with Alexandra will not have to worry about their pet being ignored, misunderstood, or mistreated. She works dogs with a calm and fair but firm leadership that allows dogs to settle knowing she is in charge. I personally have no qualms about leaving my own beloved pup with her for any length of time, as I know she will be well taken care of when I return.

We can go on walks to explore new sights and sniffs while doing simple obedience training exercises along the way. While pet sitting I like to play games, teach tricks, and give nice pets and cuddles with dogs who like that.
