Hey everyone! My name is Allie, I work as a CVT with the Animal Rescue Program at Mystic Aquarium. I am from the Bronx, NY and I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2017 with a degree in Animal Science and Marine Biology. I worked at a general practice/emergency vet hospital for 5 years and have experience administering oral and injectable medications, so I would be happy to help out with any necessary treatments or administering medications. I love being both a homebody and adventuring outdoors, so I am sure I’ll fit in with whatever your pet enjoys! I also would be more than happy to care for your plants or garden when I stop by. Allie is a pet parent’s dream! I first booked Allie in 2022 and she’s been my regular sitter ever since. I had just gotten my first cat (after being a dog owner my whole life) and was new to the area and needed to find a quality sitter. Allie is truly a gem and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have found her! She has extensive experience with animals (wild and domestic) and it shows. She’s confident, calm, patient, kind, as well as professional and an excellent communicator. She has also administered medication to my cat without any issues (she’s much better at it than I am for sure!). And, best of all, my cat loves her. Helga was a shy rescue kitty when they first met but she just took to Allie instantly. I trust Allie 100% and that is invaluable to me. Helga and I absolutely adore her!

Alexandra is an extraordinary sitter! She took wonderful care of our older dog Dutch and was very attentive and patient with his needs. We have not been able to go away for several years and we worried how Dutch would accept the boarding. Alexandra kept us informed each day with text updates and pictures. She is so professional and kind! We feel very confident with her care and will definitely be using her services again!

I will try to stick to your pet’s routine no matter what; I am happy to accommodate my schedule to whatever you and your pet’s needs are! I do have a dog of my own; his name is Baloo and he is a 5 year old cattle dog mix. I leave him at home for any drop-ins or if I am housesitting for less than 3 days, but any longer and I would prefer my dog comes to stay with me while housesitting. He is very well-behaved, friendly, and matches other dog’s energy, but if that is not something you would be comfortable with, I completely understand. I am happy to set up meet and greets beforehand, with either just myself or my dog, too!! :) If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out!!

I would love to come be introduced to your pet and your house before I come for the first time on my own; I would feel much more comfortable and I feel as though the animals will, as well! I would also appreciate being informed of any allergies, medical concerns, medications, or behavioral troubles your dog/cat might have- that way I can be prepared and will know how best to care for your pet. If I will be housesitting and bringing my dog, we can absolutely also do a meet and greet with our dogs to make sure they get along and will be comfortable. :)
A typical day
I am happy to adjust to whatever style of play or exercise your pet prefers! We can play in the house, take walks around the neighborhood, get outside in the backyard, whatever they like! If your pup is more adventurous and you are comfortable, I do have a roomy SUV fitted for pet travel, so we could venture out to some walking trails or the beach for a fun little outing!

My work day is very flexible and I am able to leave work for periods at a time, as needed. I am available from drop-by pet sitting or house sitting!
