Caregiving is my joy AND my job!
Pet care experience
Hi! While I am not a veterinarian like I first dreamed as a young girl, I AM a full-time caregiver! My full-time 9-5 work is as a nanny, which I’ve been doing for eight months now and love. The family I work for has a dog too, so there’s a little extra experience there! While my family has never owned a dog (we’re definitely a cat family, I personally love dogs too though!), it seems like everyone else I know has at least one! I started dog-sitting in high school and since then have become the go-to person for friends and family members when they leave town, but I actually petsit more often for people I’ve met through past petsitting referrals that I didn’t know previously! Bonus: I have not personally owned a dog before like I said, but I’m including a pic with my boyfriend & his German Shepard that’s my bestie now (and his whole family is shocked she likes me so much because she typically is super shy/anxious around other people) so I WILL have a dog in the near future! :)

Reviews
Alexandra (Lexi) has been a delight to work with and grow a relationship with. She is very good with pets and families. She goes above and beyond to make sure that your pet is well taken care of, and that she exceeds your expectations! I am grateful to have met Lexi, as are my sweet furbabies!

My rule is “Your home, your rules!” If you prefer the kennel while I’m at work, that’s okay. If you want them to stay out of certain areas/off the couch, you’ve got it! I also know to not leave consumable or anything that could be chewed (ie: shoes) somewhere they can be reached so you don’t have to worry there either. As far as the home itself, if it’s not mine I won’t touch it UNLESS it’s cleaning supplies, those I would like to use in any instance necessary to make sure when you return that your home looks the way it did when you left! As a nanny this is something I’ve gotten pretty accustomed to- I’m here to help you, not give you reasons to worry! As a fellow pet owner, I know full well that your pet is one of (if not THE) most important member of your family. I know it can be stressful to leave your pets for any period of time, and I appreciate you even considering me to be someone you would trust them with! While you’re gone, I’m more than happy to send pictures and updates for you, too!
Information Alexandra C. would like to know about your pet
If there are any medical issues, I would like to know those in advance so I can be sure to prepare for any instances that that may affect. Apart from that, I just need to know basics such as how often they need to go out (for dogs), if they like to walk (for dogs), any preferences they have that will make them comfortable, how often you’d like updates, and when mealtime is & how much food!
A typical day
For active pets that like to go outside, I’m happy to go outside or for a walk each day- I was a track & cross country runner in high school and college so some extra energy is fine by me! While inside, I encourage snuggles whether it’s a chihuahua that wants to nest in my sweatshirt, a cat that wants to lay next to me, or a dog that thinks he’s a lapdog even though he’s WAY too big! Whatever your pets’ preferences are, I’m happy to do that! :)

Availability
As a full-time nanny, I work 32-40 hours/week. If you’re comfortable with it, I am happy to stay in your home overnight with your pets, take care of them in the morning, come back to visit after work, go to the gym & run any errands I have, and then be back for the night for plenty more quality time and care! Weekends are similar, and plans I have will be made to fit around taking care of your pet and when I need to be home with them. The longest time they’d have without me is just my 8 hours for work, apart from that I would either be with them or be gone no more than a couple of hours!
