Pet care experience
Animal lover and owner for almost 3 decades. I grew up around dogs, horses and birds, and tend to love them more than people ;). I am communicative, loving, and promise to treat your pet like one of my own! I have experience taking care of puppies and senior dogs, as well as administering medications (orally and injectables), and can also help reinforce things like potty training, basic training commands, and leash manners.

Ali is great. Our large dog has many quirks and she deals with them all splendidly. He gets more than enough love and attention when in her care. Great communication and trustworthy. So lucky to have her!
Alexandra is so communicative and went above and beyond to make sure Zadie was comfortable and that we were comfortable. She met us ahead of time, was very accommodating on pick-up times and sent lots of pictures when Zadie was with her. Thank you again, Alexandra!

I have a fenced backyard and one small Shetland Sheepdog at home. She has zero aggression history, and is 10 years old, so tends to lay pretty low! She plays with the social dogs who visit, and gives space to those who need it! I unfortunately don’t trust off-leash dog parks, but your fur friends will be treated to multiple walks throughout the day.

A typical day
I am detail-oriented and diligent when it comes to your pets care! My dog has a heart condition and takes several different medications throughout the day, so I understand the importance of a consistent schedule. My dog and I go for a quick walk each morning to get the day going, then home for meds and breakfast. In the afternoon we tend to walk the neighborhood again, followed by more meds and dinner! Cali loves to play with her stuffed animals so we play fetch then head to bed. Weekends we love to go hiking in Marin, or for a beach walk to mix it up.

Availability
My job leads to extremely flexible work hours (mostly from home) so your pet will be well-supervised and tended to! I walk my dog once in the morning, and once in the evening, so if your dog is physically capable, then they will come with us. Every evening we administer her (my dog, Cali’s) medications, then tend to play in the living room while unwinding watching TV.
