Hello, fellow animal lovers! I'm Alex and while relatively new to Rover, I have quite the experience in the care and attention needed by our fur friends. From giving walks, baths, snuggles, and moderate obedience training, to first aid and moderating specific health and dietary needs of dogs and cats, I have practiced and experienced it all first hand. I grew up on the East Coast in a small farming community that I firmly believe had more dogs than people! My grandfather was a dog breeder (Dobermans) and from practically birth, I was pretty much surrounded by dogs until I went off to college and this thing called "adulting" happened. Now, I don't have the opportunities that I once had to spend time with dogs, and that is in part why I am on Rover. As a kid, teen, and adult, I would take my pups on car rides, swimming at the lake, and adventures out on the trails around my house. Now that I have the adult world to contend to, I'm hoping to not only give dog moms and dads reassurance when life gets busy for them, but also have that joy from time to time again in my own life that they bring to us. Talk about a win-win, right? I believe that dogs, cats, and all animals should be treated with the same respect that you would give anybody else. Who am I kidding, we all have souls and deserve love, right? Enough about me, less chatting, more fetching, yes? :-) Also, if you have any specific requests or requirements for your dog, home, or schedule, I will do my absolute best to accommodate them and to give you and your family peace of mind.
