I've always had deeply intense and emotional relationships with dogs -- it just seems like they know exactly what I'm feeling and that they’re able communicate with me. It's amazing to me the joy pups bring to our human families and how seamlessly they become part of the pack. The love between a person and their pup is based on mutual respect and the best wishes for each other. I’m so excited to travel the city and meet new pups! I've missed having dogs in my life since moving out of my parent’s house, which is why I work with RoverGO. My father was a K9 specialist and we had anywhere from two to nine dogs in the house at a time. I worked as his assistant trainer when I was in high school and many of the dogs we dealt with had minor behavioral issues, which were often based on too little exercise or a lack of discipline, but we also worked with rescues, abused, aggressive and anxious dogs. My favorite part of working with these dogs was when they would come over for Boot Camp, a one-week intensive stay at the Shaker Hound Academy. I love how dogs see the world through a pack mentality, and once you understand this communication can become clear and seamless between you and any pup. I am proficient in reading body language and understanding your pup's needs from a canine psychology and pack mentality perspective. I have so much love for all living things, I think caring for dogs is one of the best ways I can share that with the world. I'm a creative first and foremost, with wild hopes and dreams for the future. I’m also a student of nature, my elders, my peers and myself. Lastly, I am a healer and my mission is one of honesty, mastery and collaboration. I spend most of my time making music and building a fine arts career and I also organize community outreach events. If I cared for your pup, we’d start our day with a nice long walk and some jogging and hopefully along the way we would find some other dogs and humans to socialize with. After that, we’d lounge around the house and maybe play a little fetch while I do some work on my laptop. We'd listen to jazz and run around in the backyard and at the end of the day we can settle in for a good movie. I believe that happy dogs get at least 90 minutes of exercise a day, so by the time night falls we’ll both be pooped!
