Pet care experience
I grew up the son of a large animal veterinarian with a love for animals in all their varieties. We always had multiple dogs in the home, but also cats and horses in the barn. Having grown up with a vet for a father, I know just how important these creatures are to their families. I miss my own pup (who is currently living back home on the farm in Missouri!) daily, and hope that taking care of yours can be a mutually beneficial experience — both an opportunity for me to share my love and excitement for the good doggos of the world, but also that you know your pet is in good hands. Alex was a wonderful dog/house sitter. He took great care of our aged standard poodle who needed to be carried down the stairs and he left the house in great shape. Very communicative and sent updates with pictures. Very personable.
Alex stayed at our house with our doodle, Charlie, while we were out of the country for a week. Our home was well cared for and our pup was spoiled with so much love and attention while we were away! I was completely at ease knowing our home and our fur baby were safe in Alex’s care. Alex brought Charlie on multiple walks a day (including some runs as well as longer hikes at a local park), provided daily pics and updates and worked to ensure that all of our requests/instructions were followed to a tee. I cannot recommend Alex highly enough and if I could give more than 5 stars for his service I would!
Alex did a great job watching our two dogs while we were gone for the weekend! We have one dog that is a little shy and Alex was patient and eventually won him over with the help of some treats. Our pups were very happy playing with him in the yard and receiving his pets while we were gone. Alex was great at communicating with us on what time he would be arriving and leaving and made sure to let us know if he would be gone for a few hours. He also left the house very clean for our return. Highly recommend!
Both Blankie and I loved Alex as a sitter! Alex was extremely diligent, communicative, and paid close attention to detail when handling the logistics of his stay. Blankie is on a special diet and takes medication daily, and Alex made sure to adhere to the schedule. He sent me updates and pictures of Blankie which made me feel very comfortable! He was very loving and caring of Blankie as well, making sure to give him lots of attention. I would highly recommend choosing Alex for your Rover needs - I certainly will be again. My dog absolutely adores him too!

A typical day
Lots of walks! Lots of play! Honestly, anything your pet really loves, I am happy to do. I love getting outside, so that is usually a big plus. For the cats, I try and do my best to make sure everything is right for them (since they can be more particular in some ways).

I work from home and have lots of flexibility in taking care of the pups and cats. I can always spend plenty of time with them playing, etc, meeting their needs.
