Pet care experience
I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was about 15/16. Many friends and family have entrusted me with their pets due to the amount of love, care, and comfort I provide the pets with while their families are away. I have also been working at a local kennel for the last 9 months and have gotten even more experience with bathing, feeding, and handling various animals, including larger and older pets!

Alexa is an absolute angel with the animals- she goes above and beyond to make sure that my Schatze is fed/taken care but also made sure that she was happy. DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY!! Alexa has a 5 stars history with canines. Besides having her own dog and works at a kennel, Alexa is very caring,very attentive and a wealth of knowledge With canines. Alexa’s strongest suit however is her reliability and her commitments. She has transitioned from baby sitting Our family’s children to baby sitting canines over th years. Would highly recommend!!! Alexa is a kind, caring, pleasant and trustworthy dogwalker and pet sitter. She has been our pet sitter for 3 years and stays at our home regularly when we go away. She has been great with multiple dogs and an elderly cat. She truly loves animals, and it shows. She is clean and neat when she stays over. She is unfailingly dependable. I would not hesitate to recommend Alexa for any and all of your dog walking and pet sitting needs.
Alexa has watched over our puppy for daily as well as multiple night visits for the past 2 years. She was referred to us by a friend, who also used her to help out with multiple day dog sitting occasions. She is prompt, reliable, tidy, and very playful and engaging with our dog. She would play with him in the backyard, take him to the park, and he was always happy to see her. She also works at a local kennel/boarding facility, and has an extensive amount of experience with many different types of dogs. I would recommend her with the highest regards, without reservation.

For most jobs, I stay with the pets for as long as possible. I‘m always keeping a close eye on them as well as making sure they’re comfortable. Many people ask that I stay in the same room/bed as their pets which I also have no issue with. Their safety and overall well-being is my top priority when I’m there.

I like to know about their personalities and what things make them happy, anxious, or even more comfortable. My priority is making sure all pets feel safe and trust me, so knowing more personal traits or interests allows me to build better bonds with them!
A typical day
For walks, it usually depends on the dog as well as the area but I try to walk most of the pets for at least 20 minutes depending on weather and such. I also will try to play with them indoors and outdoors. I throw balls, frisbees, kick soccer balls, play tug, and even chase and dance with the pups to try and burn off as much energy as possible!

Availability
I’m currently working part-time at a local kennel as well as a full-time student at Raritan Valley Community College but I’m available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 12:30 PM and after 6 PM Tuesday-Sunday. My schedule varies occasionally so if you have any questions/requests don’t hesitate to ask!
